I am currently an employee of Fleet Readiness Center SouthWest (FRCSW) as a designated Aircraft Sheet Metal Training Crew Leader alternate for shop 92208 bldg. 460 for the past 15 years assigned by Supervisors. I am familiar with the trade and I perform many functions and tasks to include PMI (Planned Maintenance Interval), Induction, dis-assembly, assembly operation, ISR (In-Service Repair ). My responsibilities include planning and assigning job task to all sheet metal artisans within shop 92208 daily based on the schedules, priorities, man power and the availability of parts. I direct Sheet metal artisans in performing as describe in PMI 1,2, and 3 engineering specification and over and above work task identified by E&E personnel. Also, my responsibility includes to train new sheet metal artisans (Federals & Contractors) include workers, helpers, apprentices, and journeyman. Along with training these artisans it is also my responsibility to forward critical work behavior and skillset to my shop supervisor as each employee progresses with training. Other duties Include attending daily maintenance meeting with Program Manager, Deputy Program Manager, Product Line Manager, Planning Supervisors, Production Supervisor, E&E Supervisor, QA Supervisor, and Training Crew Leaders to discuss aircraft status, planning, scheduling, man power, daily goals, task need to be done. I communicate with support shops such as PC, Engineering, P&E, NDI, and E&E.

I have very comprehensive knowledge and experience on E2/C2 program and its process procedure on Manufacturing Resource Planning Work orders and Over and Above Discrepancies. I assist the Examination and Evaluation personnel to establish man-hour requirements and direct compliance with local aircraft system, components and accessories, which are suitable to continue service without replacement, rework and processing. I perform progressive static and dynamic examination and evaluation of the E2/C2 aircraft structural systems, components, and accessories on workload such as dis-assembly inspection report and analytical rework program and provide recommendation on how to execute repair

I am familiar on using Power tools such as Pneumatic drill motors include right angle drill motor, 45 and 90-degree Threaded drill motor, and pancake drill motor, Pneumatic straight and right-angle grinder, Pneumatic rivet gun, Pneumatic rivet squeezer, Rivet shaver, MLS gun, B100 gun, Pneumatic shears, Sealant gun, Heat gun, I am familiar on using hand held tools such as Hammers, Pin punches 3/32”, 1/8”, 5/32”, 3/16”, and 1/4”, Awl, Steel center punch, Metal chisels, Metal files, End nips, Straight/Right hand/Left hand Snips, Slip joint/Long nose/side cutter/Linesman Pliers, Vise grips, C and G clamps, Cleco plier, Different type of cleco’s such as Wing/Grip plier/Hex cleco’s, with 3/32”, 1/8”, 5/32”, 3/16”, and 1/4”, Cleco side grip clamps, Adjustable/Combo/Box/Open end wrenches, Set of allen wrenches, Phillip/Flat screw drivers, Hand rivet squeezer, Hand rivet puller, Hand rivnut tools, Rivet sets 3/32”, 1/8”, 5/32”, 3/16”, and 1/4”, Backing bars, Nut plate jigs #10 and #20, Hole finder #10, #21, #30, and

#40, Jo-bolts hand installation kit. Also machines I used to fabricate aircraft replacement sheet metal parts are Squaring shears, Disc and belt sander, Bench grinder, Drill press, Band saw, Shrinking and Stretching machine, Arbor press, Turret punch, Plate roller, Break machine, joggling machine, and Wheeling machine. I have extensive knowledge on different precision measuring tools such as Depth gauge, Hole gauge, Micrometer, Caliper, Angle protractor, MLS gauge.

I utilize many management information system on daily basis that include; Share Point

(request of access, NDMS, NATEC), TAA (run and verify labor and monitor transaction data), Concerto (check priority aircraft, update aircraft status), CONOPS/UCB (sell QV, close work orders), BOE (track and monitor labor expenditures and work load via various report), CMPRO

(view/create REI-TEI), TWMS (training), Microsoft application such as Excel for spreadsheet, Word for writing memos, and outlook for pass downs. I strictly adhere and complied to all safety procedure and instruction with respect to fall protection program. I do daily pre-op on all our aircraft support stands and ladder. I inspect the bottom rubbers of the ladder sometime rubber is missing or worn-out, steps, side and top railings for cracks, top chain link sometime are broken or missing. I also pre-op and inspect box frame fall protection. I make sure all artisan work on top of the aircraft or over 4 feet are equipped with safety harness. If I see any artisan working on top of the aircraft or over 4 feet without safety harness, I confront artisan to use safety harness and inform my direct supervisor of the unsafe practices.

I comply with and maintained an aggressive hazardous waste material safety program and tracking system conforming to DON, Federal, State, Local environmental statutes and directives with emphasis on segregating areas for explosives, gases, flammable liquids and solids, oxidizers, toxics, radioactive and corrosive materials. I am familiar with the HAZMAT Material Safety Regulation. Familiar with Safety Data Sheet list. I know how to properly handle and dispose alcohol, spray nine, lube oil, primer, paint, sealant, adhesive, rags with hydraulic fluid, Alodine and corrosion preventive compound on their respective waste storage container. I make sure cups and plastic bags use for hazardous material are labeled accordingly.

I follow FOD prevention program, clean as you go is one way of preventing FOD on the aircraft. Another way is by doing FOD walk before and after you finish working. Always clean your area before you leave the hanger.

I am familiar on reading and interpreting technical manuals, Blue prints, Drawing, Engineering Instruction (REI and TEI), Structural Repair Manual, Local Engineering Specification, Airframe Changes and Rapid Response Request. Example Artisan cannot find the part number of the fuselage lower skin, with my familiarization on reading blueprint and interpreting structural Repair Manual I help sheet metal artisan to locate the part number of the fuselage lower skin. I comply with proper use of Personal Protective Equipment such as wearing safety shoe, safety eye glasses, hard hat, ear muff or ear plugs during drilling and riveting, full face respirator when grinding metals and spraying primer or paint. After use of respirator I always clean my respirator on the cleaning area station locate at Bldg. 460 Red Cell. I utilize continuous process improvement (CPI) and AIR Speed concept, example I fabricated a shop aid special tools for removal and installation of Hi-locks located on main landing gear drag brace attached to the fittings. Which usually it takes 16 hours to complete the job, with my fabricated special tools I was able to reduce completion time in half. I have experience on Conflict/Dispute Resolution, since I have experience on conflict resolution, I have help defuse the situation between co-worker’s disagreement that could have ruin their relationship and possibly bring down shop team spirit. For example, I have two artisans have disagreement while working together, I step in as mediator and convinced both artisans to calm down and conduct themselves as established co-workers. I am familiar with grievance procedure. I understand and follow Department of Navy standard of leadership and personal conduct by treating others with respect, with dignity and regardless of origin, gender, religion, race, etc. I have taken classes in sexual harassment and human trafficking.
