WORK EXPERIENCE
1.I have worked at Business Connexion in IT Support for 13 months (31/03/2016 to 01/03/2017) as a Service Desk Agent. We supported Mercedes Benz in Centurion, we used softwares, i.e. Kerridge, DLP etc. It is a great environment to start from in IT because it teaches the value of serving and delivery, which can be interpreted as integrity and determination. I also learned of new systems that are out there and how Technology has evolved as a whole.
RESPONSIBILITEIS
Take calls from users and receive tickets requests through emails
Reset user accounts passwords
Create new accounts on the server
Remote on the client’s computers to resolve issues with their emails, etc.
Troubleshoot user’s computers, i.e. printer not found by the user we reestablish the connection to the printer server
Escalate tickets to appropriate divisions
Software Support: Installation and troubleshooting of Software
Provide technical support to other branches as well Sandown, East London plant and MBSA Head Office Centurion.
Check asset requests approvals from all managers in order to approve and assign an asset to a user. Assets like laptops, cellphones, etc.
2.I worked at Altron as a Vodacom Customer Service Agent supporting Vodacom customers since 11 January 2021 until 15 April 2021.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Synchronzing the customer’s cellphone network connection.
Resolving the customer balance queries
Performing Sim Swaps and sim swap reversals
Blacklisting cellphones
Locking and Unlocking sim cards
Give advice and recommendations where it is required

3.I worked at Pink Elephant since 27/10/2021 till 27/06/2022, as a Service Desk Analyst in IT Support.
RESPONSIBILITIES
We support TFG H/O(The Foschini Group Head Office) and TFG Stores applications, i.e. Active Retail, OneX and others.
We troubleshoot emails, RFID scanners and the RIOT Portal, password resets, Acknowledge Cartons, Remote Access of the VPN called Forticlient, Map drives, Support hardware at the TFG Stores and many more.
We take calls and work on emails, log Incidences and Service Requests and escalate tickets to their appropriate divisions.
4.I am working at Signature Cosmetics since 21/08/2023, as a Service Desk Administrator in IT and Helpdesk Support.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Take calls and work with emails to support stores and head office and log them on Dynamic 365 CRM.
Troubleshoot network issues for stores like Fiber, routers, modems, dongle, etc.
Troubleshoot hardware like printers, Epson till printers, Scanning Device (iData)
Support Retail Application called Retail Modern Point of Sale (Modern POS) like when it’s offline, when promotions are not going through, etc
Work on Dynamic 365 Finance and Operations to upload promotions, Sign-ins, Allocations, etc.
Setup Computers for stores and head office.
PASSION
My passion lies with upgrading, building and maintaining a system and the below mentioned courses make it possible to build and maintain or upgrade systems
Operating Systems focuses on server management, which is creating user account on the server and making sure that their accounts gain access to the server whenever files are required. It is the administration and maintenance of the Windows Server, of which I have both Windows Server 2008/2012
Software Engineering focuses on building and upgrading a Software/System. Adhering to SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) which represents/guides the process of developing a Software while creating the UML artifacts along the way, namely the Use Case Diagram, Activity Diagram, Class Diagram, Communication Diagram and the Sequence Diagram.
Database Systems is the storage of data or company/user personal information on the MS SQL server for clients/employees to access them and we model it using the ERD Diagram. We create and maintain the data using SQL in the RDBMS and store it in the MSSQL Server 2016. I have upskilled with MCSA: Querying Data with TSQL SQL 2016, in 2019. We do database design and reports design, creating dashboards on Tableau and PowerBi.
Programming we studied Java programming and VB.Net programming applications.
AQUIRED SKILLS
Oral skills: I have the good oral communication skills, I communicate very well with different people of different levels in person and I have phone etiquettes which I learned at my previous work places.
Writing skills: Writing assignments, working on projects and writing documents at tertiary environment has enabled me to obtain this skill.
Interpersonal skills: my ability to speak, write and present myself fluently and immaculately has enabled to have good interpersonal relations with different people. I also work well in a team due to my interpersonal relations, I commit myself into accomplishing the given tasks on time which strengthens work relations.
Computer Skills: Software Skills (Programming Java and VB.Net), Windows Server 2008/2012, UML, Technical Skills (A+ and Network Systems), Microsoft Office and Office 365(Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), Database Administration (SQL, ERD and TSQL), ITIL4 Foundation, Tableau, PowerBi.
Analytical: I very analytical, identifying and finding solutions to problems. My previous work experience has polished those skills since we resolve problems instantly and are always on the go.
I have been working on my GitHub Portfolio URL (https://github.com/zukiswasibutha) writing SQL queries like views, stored procedures, joins, etc. I have also been working on my Tableau creating visualizations and joins, downloading from files like Excel files and creating tables, and also visualizing with PowerBi and doing data clean on Power Query. I have basic knowledge of Python, Report design and Database Design.
