Duties: Responsible for first party collections from an outbound call center. Aided in assisting customers with referrals for consumer credit counseling, lowering annual percentage rates for customers experiencing temporary financial hardships, offering settlements for customers whose situation was not expected to change and were heading towards bankruptcy, waived late fees as a courtesy, convincing customers to set up electronic payments in multiples, ensuring the customers’ account remained in good standing in months to come. Responsible for documentation of all attempts to contact the customer and the outcome of the call. Required to meet mandatory daily, weekly, and monthly quotas set in dollar amounts collected for each individual employee in addition to as a team. Duties included calling a minimum of accounts per day as well as hourly. Time management and efficiency were stressed and each day consisted of fast pace management of numerous accounts with the main emphasis on getting payments, and meeting goals set in dollar amounts.
