Special experience in perception, cognition, conflict analysis, historical perspective and political and rhetorical systems make my teaching enjoyable and learning reciprocal and practical. Mediation and arbitration training and the application of these processes have provided me with extensive knowledge of juridical systems and their connection to perceptions of rectitude and equity.

Status: Certified teacher in social studies composite. Letter of Acceptance (Alternative Certification for Teachers-Dallas-“highly qualified” on “no child left behind” enrolled in required course to complete certification through TExES exam. That examination was passed, certifying me in social science spectrum. Probationary certificate issued 10/07.Full certificate in force, expires in 2025.

Experience: Advanced Placement Teacher from 2006-2022. Mediator and arbitrator from1976-2006. Founder and executive director of: Settlement Consultants International, Inc. (Dallas), the Dispute Mediation Service of Dallas (DMS), the Center for Dispute Resolution (Denver), Mediator for the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service (Age Discrimination focus), the U.S. Justice Department-Community Relations Service (group disputes). Mediated over 3,000 cases in both court and client referred matters in Texas, Louisiana, Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, Colorado, Oklahoma, Washington D.C., Oregon, Washington, Auckland, New Zealand, and the former Yugoslavia. Arbitrated over 450 cases involving property loss, partnership, contract disputes, real estate, and intellectual properties.

Types of Domestic Disputes: custody, visitation, child support, property settlement, community and separate property issues, disabled children and joint parenting and prenuptial planning and Hague Convention Issues.

Experience-Teacher & Trainer: Certified teacher since 2007. AP Psychology, AP U.S. Government, AP Comparative Government, sociology, and economics. (Plano West Senior High School). Taught students from all levels and prepared them to take the AP tests in May of each year. Highly qualified instructor and Reader for AP Psychology. Previously, trained over 500 mediators in both commercial and domestic issues, and hundreds of participants in matters related to negotiation, problem resolution and strategic thinking.
