PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

VP of IT/Business Transformation – (OneHealthyCommunity.com) 9/2022 - Present Eric is leading the team through its growth phase to create a path-to-profitability for an exciting digital health platform. He developed the turnaround strategy, refined its web app and defined the marketing tactics that led to a successful penetration in 54 countries. He negotiated and secured partnership deals with labs, dental clinics, health product vendors within these countries. He is also involved in the design and deployment of the management dashboard and predictive models/engines used in customer segmentation, revenue optimization churn reduction and disease prediction.

Eric led the design of the enterprise architecture to map critical assets and assess the alignment of business and IT priorities. He also created an investment governance model to support board-level decisions using the insights gained from the models/engines. This solution helped to create a consensus around operating and capital budgets and the investment in additional security solutions aimed at protecting key data assets. Program Manager / Technical Architect (Contract – NOWcorp.com) 9/2019 – 8/2022 Eric redesigned the Azure cloud environment and deployed critical solutions to meet important compliance/IT requirements around security, disaster recovery and scalability. He created the IT transformation roadmap, solutioned software integration issues using APIs and deployed critical solutions to protect data assets (Azure Site Recovery / Azure Backup). Eric managed the IT budget and developed the benefit case of the cloud migration effort to quantify the reduction in operating expenses. He was involved in the deployment of the management dashboard build using SSAS-PowerBI and the assessment of the pertinence a (accuracy and loss) of the AI/ML engines the team designed to predict bankruptcy, cost-to-serve, churn and customer lifetime value. Project Manager (Contract AT&T / Cricket) 6/2017 – 5/2019 Eric managed a complex data center migration effort. The program was designed to virtualize the infrastructure, upgrade SQL Server and reduce operational costs by re-engineering IT service processes. He assumed responsibility for all planning and delivery activities.

Eric rolled-out a new self-service model to improve IT service delivery and enable the rapid design and deployment data analytics by data scientists. This initiative helped the production of daily competitive intelligence reports. He also drove the implementation of a data stewardship organization that improved the credibility of the IT organization.

Eric used TOGAF to document the IT architecture that enables the self-service model along with the governance process organizing the use of data to generate data insights. He trained the data stewards using the documentation of the data architecture layer.

Big Data / IT Transformation Lead (Contract - Coca-Cola) 7/2016 – 5/2017 Turned around a critical initiative owned by the VP of Data Science that involved the migration to the AWS cloud platform to deploy a data lake for all data science activities. Developed a comprehensive risk mitigation strategy and implemented actions required to successfully migrate a suite of applications including AI/ML engines used to analyze the “star power” of media/sport influencers and negotiate multi-million-dollar sponsorship deals. Refined the architecture of the data lake, mapped the data flows from source to target systems and deployed critical data validation tools. Designed a data management process with an organizational model and tools that reduced data quality issues significantly.

Eric used the TOGAF framework to map the data management infrastructure and governance process. Business Transformation Program Lead (Contract – IHG) 2/2013 – 4/2016 Worked with business and technology executives to deliver a $75 million secure payment solution critical to the protection of guest credit card data across all hotels. Developed a business case focusing on PCI scope reduction, brand protection, revenue acceleration using loyalty card memberships. Wrote the RFI/RFP documents and facilitated vendor selection including contract negotiations. Documented the enterprise architecture migration plan and the operational requirements (process and governance structure). Supervised product testing and release management activities including training. Re-engineered the support processes and established a service dashboard to track cost and quality of service.

Product Manager (Contract – OneHealthyCommunity.com) 1/2012 – 2/2013 Led the product team through the design, development and launch of a multi-lingual mobile app that is transforming the patient experience by addressing access, cost, quality, and education challenges within the healthcare marketplace. Coached the team through the business planning process and the execution of social media campaigns.

PMO Lead (Contract – Government of Trinidad & Tobago) 1/2011 – 11/2011 Led a $200 million transformation program and worked with various government agencies to create a state-of-the- art technology park that supports the country’s economic diversification plan. Developed a comprehensive business plan after conducting economic value analysis to estimate the impact in terms of job creation, travel/tourism growth and local business development. Facilitated key negotiations with foreign and local contractors. Coached and trained the staff of the local development authority (E-Teck) throughout the implementation process including the reporting of results. Post-Merger Integration Lead (Contract – AT&T) 2/2008 – 12/2010 Worked with VP and General Managers within the Customer Retention organization to re-engineer processes and develop a new pricing and retention model following the acquisition of BellSouth. Worked with statisticians from AT&T Labs to develop a model for predictive churn management. Designed operational financial metrics used to measure the effectiveness of retention efforts (stickiness and financial impact). Led a multi-disciplinary team through the implementation of a dashboard used by the executives to analyze to what extent induced churn may impact revenue. Earned high praises for successfully merging and mining data housed in multiple heterogeneous systems.

Business Process Re-Engineering Lead (Contract – AT&T) 2007 – 2008 Executed a strategic audit of the Retention organization (analysis of customer complaints, loyalty programs, 90- Day retention, offer effectiveness, cost of saves and NPV contribution. Uncovered improvement opportunities and proposed process and system changes that improved customer loyalty. Developed the Enterprise Architecture blueprint (business, data, application, and technology layers) and supported the integration of several business data warehouses into a single reporting platform.

IT Project Manager (Contract – AT&T) 2004 – 2005

Led the design, development and roll-out of a custom sales tool that supports the pricing process and provides market intelligence (competitive analysis of voice/data/video product offerings, market segmentation by geographical zone, dynamic pricing trends). Improved the effectiveness of the up-selling and cross-selling process and reduced the length of the Multi-Dwelling Unit deal negotiation process from 30 days to 10 days in geographical areas lacking Internet connectivity.

Process Analysis & Auditing Lead (Contract – Blue Bird) 2003 – 2004 Audited the Procure-to-Pay cycle as well as the supply chain and IT processes. The project enabled the organization to improve financial controls, security procedures and operational performance. Analyzed archives of past business transactions and ran complex SQL queries to investigate plausible fraud claims. Audit activities related to 3 key areas: (1) Approvals and segregation of duty in the payment processes, (2) Observations of nightly traffic and security operations to detect theft (copper and other scrap materials), (3) Inspection of cycle counting activities to assess accuracy of inventory reporting and (4) System improvement recommendations. This effort supported an investment decision led by KKR. Business Intelligence Lead (Contract – AT&T) 2003 – 2003 Assisted the Director of the call center outsourcing program with the design and development of a decision- support tool used to forecast and monitor the performance of call centers spread throughout the world – agent training quality, call volume/distribution, service cost, customer satisfaction, agent and off-shoring ratio. Developed a multi-variable statistical model to perform what-if and sensitivity analysis. Identified specific scenarios to improve the customer satisfaction rate by 25% and deliver $1.5 million in financial savings. DIRECTOR – Business/IT Strategy (Answerthink) 2000 - 2001

PRINCIPAL CONSULTANT (Gemini Consulting -> Ernst & Young -> Cap Gemini) 1996 - 1999 Key contributor to CIO Center of Excellence with some P&L responsibility and ownership of methodologies applying to IT strategy, IT organization design, IT process re-engineering, Enterprise Architecture (Zachmann, TOGAF) and PMO management.

• Managed data center assessment projects to support pre-merger due diligence and post-merger implementation initiatives. Used the ITIL framework to provide a qualitative and quantitative analysis of IT operations.

• Worked with the CIO of Millennium Chemicals on an EVA-based framework intended to clearly articulate the contribution of IT investments to business performance and serve as the valuation model for future IT projects. Led the redesign of the IT organization/processes (using ITIL, COBIT frameworks), several change management activities as well as the implementation of a large PMO to support a multi-million-dollar investment in an ERP solution.

• Led a strategy project focusing on designing the supply chain capability of a Fortune 1000 pulp and paper company (WestVaco). Developed the strategic plan, the “TO-BE” enterprise architecture blueprint and the architecture migration plan based on potential ERP solutions and specialized packages. Performed data mapping and profiling activities to address application portfolio integration issues.

• Developed an IT governance model and project prioritization framework to ensure that IT and business units collaborate effectively to make decisions regarding the approval, audit and cancellation of IT projects (Merrill Lynch). This initiative allowed the company to streamline the funding issues, minimize costly project cancellations and improve project completion/success rate.

• Developed a transformation plan for the re-engineering of back-office operations for `the Credit Lyonnais bank (process re-engineering, business case development, package selection, implementation planning). Project involved the consolidation of data center operations and resulted in about 20% cost reduction as well as increased process standardization and efficiency. Performed data mapping and profiling activities to address application portfolio integration issues, including the determination of universal, regional and product-specific data entities used in the design of the enterprise data warehouse. • Worked with the head of the “IT Strategy” department of a major European bank (Société Générale) to develop and implement its IT strategy through the redesign of the enterprise architecture blueprint.

• Designed and implemented a performance improvement program for the back-office operations of the Suez Bank, that resulted in 30% cost reduction and increased productivity.

• Worked with the IT organization at an airline company (Air France) to draft a comprehensive governance document defining the protocol, roles and responsibilities inherent to the outsourcing of IT services. MANAGER (CAST Software) 1991 - 1995

• Delivered the enterprise architecture model and major components of a global trading system for equity and equity derivatives used at a major investment bank (JP Morgan). Handled programming tasks relating to a variety of technologies: C, Applix/Excel, Motif /OpenLook user interface Sybase, Power Builder, Teknekron information bus, Encina transaction processing engine, UNIX shell programming on Solaris.
