18 Years' Experience working in Oil and Gas industry as a Driling Engineer and also a Drilling Fluids engineer. I have an MSc in Drilling and Well Engineering from the Robert Gordon University in the U.K where I developed an app that could be used to predict stuckpipe while drilling. I directed all mud operations carried out on the Rig, engineered the building, maintained and tested drilling fluid properties on location, and communicated daily operational reports to the project manager and fluids superintendent.

A demonstrated activity was undertaken by me: a successful drilling of an unconventional HPHT 6” hole from a depth of 8609ftMD/6543TVD – 10441ftMD/6555ftTVD at an angle of 90 which is one of the longest 6” horizontal reservoir well in Nigeria- Drilled for Exxon Mobil, Iyak 18b well

Ensured the availability of the required chemicals on the Rig.

Reviewed daily rig operations and recommended alternatives to improve operations time and save cost.

I was always rated high among rig hands as I ensured all operations were carried out in accordance with Schlumberger HSE STOP plan by teaching rig hands working directly under me to observe unsafe work practices and report.

Conducted on-the-rig training for new drilling fluid trainees and subsequently founded a drilling fluids school to produce top-notch mud engineers.

I managed the rig mud operations, monitored field applications, and maintained a clear and concise product inventory.

I was elevated to an international commuter after clearly distinguishing myself due to my performance in delivering wells without drilling fluids issues.

I ensured end of well recap was compiled & submitted on time at end of the well.

I never ran out of chemicals based on drilling plans as I consistently implement a Just-In-Time (JIT) inventory management system, meeting demand but without having excess.

Due to close monitoring of cuttings and mud properties by running all tests (HPHT/PPT inclusive), I eliminated general mud-related hole problems such as stuck pipe, kicks, etc.

Created a template for problem-solving assistance to field problems relating to drilling fluids problems.

Implement a perfect rule of thumb on my mud properties to increase drilling rate by 20%, based on mud weight, drill pipe/bit diameter, and the flow rate properties used without compromising the Cuttings Carrying index.
