Superintendent, Quality Control Manager

Barber Klein Foresight - Houston, TX (November 2018 to November 2020) Oversaw sanitary sewer rehab project at Johnson Space Center. Work included conducting inspections of pipe bursting operations, cured-in-place pipe operations, and manhole replacement and rehabilitation. In addition, I conducted inspections on trenching for open cut activities to check for proper shoring, confined space procedures, and material installation. This project required the submission of numerous dig permits and proper inspections of SWPP set up and had to be coordinated with all facility managers for traffic control and sewer line tie-ins to buildings.

Superintendent, Safety Coordinator

LMC Corporation - Houston, TX (March 2015 to October 2018) Worked onboard Johnson Space Center locating and repairing multiple leaks in newly installed fire line due to poor workmanship by previous contractor. After repairs, I coordinated and oversaw the testing of all main lines to 200 psi to verify proper installation. After inspections were verified, we tied the water lines back into the main buildings. This work involved coordination with the on-site inspector and safety department to correct any problems during construction. In addition, work also included assisting on bidding for upcoming projects, scheduling work with employees and sub-contractors, working with engineers and inspectors through design issues, and ordering equipment and materials for current projects. Superintendent, Quality Control Manager, Site Safety Inspector BRH Garver Construction - Houston, TX (2013 to 2015) Work included coordination of job site inspections, creating submittal packages, scheduling work activities, and conducting safety inspections at various worksites to ensure proper work procedures and safety directives were being followed per contract specifications. James Construction Group - Houston, TX (2010 to 2013) Supervised the installation of a new potable water main line project at Johnson Space Center. This work included setting large meter vaults and scheduling utility outages to tie the new main line into the existing buildings. In addition, I was responsible for ensuring that all safety directives were followed per contract specifications. During construction, I was required to track all labor and materials that were reported to our office monthly to check the status of project. Due to the nature of the work, I helped develop and submit modifications to the contract that resulted in changes orders for the specific work involved. This work also involved daily inspections of completed work to ensure the quality of work and materials met the contract specifications. This included conducting the preparatory, initial and follow up inspections each definable feature of work. Throughout the project, I also initiated capacity development training for employees in the field to keep up with code requirements established for the work involved.
