COLDSTONE EMPLOYEE EXPECTATIONS

Expected to respect authority of all supervisors. If you are a crew member, your shift leader is your supervisor. If you are a shift leader, the assistant manager or manager is your direct supervisor. Working as a team is a must.

Expected to listen, communicate and use time efficiently.

Expected to comply with dress code. Must always have clean, approved shirt/pants, apron, hat and name tag. No open toed shoes. Personal devices such as cell phones or music devices are expected to be kept out of the work area.

Expected to always use, complete, and sign company checklists. This is our best daily operational tool! They must be completed every shift for the store to run efficiently, and ensure proper cleanliness.

Expected to sing to every customer that tips, is a first timer or has children. Kids love it, older people are happily shocked by it and our new crew members need the practice.

Expected to provide exceptional fun customer service. Start your creation with a bottle flip and talk to every customer in a happy, sincere manner. Thank every customer and smile. They are the reason you have a job. Never forget that.

Expected to give samples, upsell when appropriate, and suggest waffle cones to every customer. Start with “What would you like to sample today?”, then “Only 50 cents for the next size up!” and “Would you like that in a chocolate dipped waffle bowl?” or “Would you like a drink with this today?”

Expected to show up for every scheduled shift. It is your responsibility to find a replacement if you have a sickness or last minute conflict. This job is a commitment, just like school and family events. Requests off must be approved by a manager. No call/no shows may be terminated immediately.

Expected to assist with training of new crew members. Lead by example and by follow all procedures. Help new crew members out! If you see that they are doing something wrong, assist them in correcting it.

Expected to work at least one weekend shift per week. 60% of our business is from Friday 4pm to Sunday 9pm. The crew members who work more than 2 weekend shifts are our future shift leaders.
