Frontend Web Developer, Hiringthing; Portland, OR July 2021 - March 2023 I was responsible for developing our design system, mentoring other developers, and building best practices for web development in my team. A majority of my work had to do with making our ATS (applicant tracking system) accessible for people with disabilities to use. Frontend Web Developer, Mozilla; Portland, OR July 2019 - August 2020 I was responsible for building pages on mozilla.org that are accessible and available across dozens of languages. I communicated across international teams and business units to confirm build needs and guide page design with technical input. I worked to modernize our site using SCSS, removed jQuery, and contributed to our design system. Support Software Engineer, New Relic; Portland, OR October 2016 - January 2019 I was the lead developer on the New Relic Support site. I built out our wireframes and mockups, wrote user stories and tasks, and connected with stakeholders to ensure we met business needs. I also set up team work sessions (mobs) to work through issues, write tests, and encourage collaboration. I led the conversion of our support site from using jQuery to React. I was also responsible for the health of the site maintaining its infra and keeping it up to date.

Business Support Engineer III, New Relic; Portland, OR January 2015 - October 2016 I triaged incoming support tickets and was a point of escalation for my team and other groups in the support organization. I mentored teammates and kept our team-specific docs up to date. I brought the ideas of “pairing” and “mobbing” to my team, which helped bring new people up to speed. I interviewed candidates and trained new hires. I also provided context around issues that impacted our customers to software engineers and support managers.
