Provide leadership and direction to my Engineering Team on implementation efforts of Hardware and Software at Government facilities throughout the Unites States and abroad. Ensure that the coordination efforts for the deployment of the equipment are successfully planned and executed withing scope and budget, as well as ensure that the testing and turn up of the equipment is completed within the required Government timelines.

Oversight and management of the Workforce Management System (WMS) to ensure Cisco and CIENA hardware are logistically allocated correctly, quantified, and deployed at Government classified sites. Work with the Finance Department to ensure that funding for the Hardware and Software deployment is available. Discuss with Key-Stakeholders funding allocation for the deployment efforts costing over thirty million annually. I constantly maintain service provider relationships, monitor risk, and strategically work with the Engineers-project team and vendors to make sure compliance on delivery of hardware and software are accomplished, make sure the task is complete, attend weekly Request for Change (RFC) meetings to monitor the progress of Change Request that are discussed, which impact deployment of hardware and software for the government. Communicate across matrix organizations on the status of the RFCs to ensure accountability and successful implementation.

Key Leadership Accomplishments:

Recognized a need for a database that allows the Engineering Team and Key-Stakeholders to see what Hardware and Software we have on inventory, status on when the inventory will be delivered to customer sites, and risks associated with vendor delays, with delivery of Hardware and Software. As a result of need I developed a database in excel that would meet the needs for hardware and software inventory management, which improved the efficiently of reporting the status of hardware and software we were waiting to receive at the CACI and DISA warehouse.

Recognized the need to better track the status of Request for Change (RFC) to provide a point of contact to guide and gain insight on downstream impacts of changes, manage, and analyze change requests and eliminate unauthorized changes. As a result of the need to better manage RFC’S I created a database in excel which proved to efficient for reporting on the status of the RFC’s as well providing risk associated with delays in delivery of hardware and software services to the Missile Defense customers.

Recognized the need of having process that will assist end-users with the tools necessary to get funding packages complete in a timely manner and eliminate delays in processing for the Government. As a result, I created a flow chart that details each step in the process of submitting a funding package and the key-stakeholders and database that are touch points in the process. The flow chart will help improve possible delays in processing funding packages.

Key Leadership Accomplishments:

Recognized a need for a configuration management process flow that shows the equipment that was located at each government site and the port connectivity for circuits at the locations within the facilities racks in the Continental Unites States (CONUS) and Outside the Continental Unites Staes (OCONUS). As a result of this need the creation of the flow diagram was completed and shared with the key-stakeholders. The flow diagram provided leadership with a clear picture of the circuit connectivity and port availability at each site. The flow diagram helped eliminate guess work when trying to determine if ports are available utilizing a desktop software tool viewing of ports.

Recognized the need to capture the risks if circuit connectivity at the sites was lost and impact to the customer. As a result, I created a Risk Matrix that identified the severity of each risk if connectivity was lost at the sites. The Risk Matrix provided leadership with a tool that could help manage risk more effectively.

Recognized the need for a flow diagram showing the number of circuits that had equipment connected to the ports, but there was no traffic running across the ports. Costing the Government millions in lost revenue at various sites. As a result of creating the flow diagram the equipment was removed from the racks.
