My position was Senior 3D Cad Piping Designer on numerous projects listed below. Often utilized to manage XREF and model issues as well as Navisworks presentation issues. Also worked with department head, piping leads and IT to refine ISOGEN functionality, CONFIG file and CADWorx SPEC issues for projects. All projects utilized scanning data software products and output utilizing LFM software. Used 3d CADWorx versions 2010 through 2016.

IMTT St. Rose, LA-Asphalt Plant and Tankage Upgrade Tank heating coils, assist another designer in pump pit area to clean up multiple ISOGEN issues on three separate occasions and rack piping for tankage. Received client project award for greatest contribution to meeting accelerated project construction deadline.

Motiva Convent, LA-Amite Project Tank Farm Modifications Project to send Gasoil Feed to Norco refinery. My scope was 4 24 inch rack headers, two 500 HP pumps to feed to offsite refinery and all meter runs and associated piping as well as manifold piping. Also coordinated with and assisted numerous other designers at four related feed tanks as well as designers in the Houston and Beaumont, TX locations. Managed XREF coordination and generating Navisworks Client Presentations. Also Generated BOM generation for entire tank farm work scope on numerous occasions. Misc. Spec Checking and ISOGEN issues and improvements.

Motiva Convent, LA-H-Oil H-200 Burn Recovery Job ran replacement piping for burned area of unit merging existing “as-built” Isometrics with scan-data. Also participated in various levels of checking process as well as XREF coordination and maintaining Navisworks model.

C. F. Industries Verdigris, OK-Replace Reactor Project Set 100’ plus reactor and associated Heat exchanger into existing unit. Ran all 20 inch schedule 120 and related piping.

Rum Distillery Water Treatment plant upgrade

My position was as a Senior 3D Cad Piping Checker/Senior Piping Designer utilizing 3D CADWorx 2010 autocad 2011 and IsoGen. I was responsible for all aspects of piping checking on an offshore job with final deliverables in the 500+ ISO range. Checking work included model and isometric drawing checking duties as well as a moderate number of plans, sections and P&ID’s. I also assisted in the development/improvement of the material, CAD, and IsoGen standards and specifications. I also did some work related to construction support as well as minor design changes and field-requested modifications after project delivery in a senior piping designer capacity.

My position was a Senior 3D Cad Piping Designer/Lead Piping Designer utilizing 3D CADWorx 2009 and 2010 and IsoGen. I was responsible for a piping department of four designers. Developed the piping design from conceptual design through to construction drawings. Generated the model and piping isometric drawings. Assisted the Client in the development of the material and CAD specifications. Performed extensive maintenance on the IsoGen setup. Helped develop pilot shale retorting vessel design details and associated equipment. Coordinated P&ID development and corrections with the Process Group and managed numerous revisions. Coordinated with E&I dept. and managed changes in specifications. Also liaised with equipment vendors.

My position was a 3-D Cad Piping Designer utilizing Bentley Auto-plant and ISOGEN Isometric Software. I completed maintenance-type retrofit projects in area plants and new unit construction in a refinery. Experience with these projects includes field work for projects as well as determining routing, locating pipe supports and tie-ins to existing piping systems. Projects included P&ID work for project as well as coordination with plant engineers and construction personnel. Projects were designed and completed with various piping systems including jacketed systems as well as numerous carbon steel specifications. I also used Bentley Equipment software for vessel work needed. I also worked to develop lunch-and-learn training for AutoCAD upgrade from AutoCAD 2005 to 2008. I also did work for Kemper Imageering (now Kemper Engineering Services) on an as-needed basis doing 3-D modeling utilizing Solidworks software as described below in the Kemper entry.

My position was a 3-D Cad Piping Designer utilizing Coade Cadworx2010 and ISOGEN Isometric Software. I completed many maintenance-type retrofit projects in several area plants. Experience with these projects includes all field work for projects as well as determining routing, locating pipe supports and tie-ins to existing piping systems. Projects included P&ID work for project as well as coordination with plant design personnel, engineers, and construction personnel. Projects were designed and completed with various piping systems including lined piping, jacketed systems as well as numerous carbon steel and stainless steel pipe specifications. I also periodically used Autodesk Inventor software for parts of projects and vessel work requiring more sophisticated modeling capablilities.

Kemper Imageering has since been re-organized as Kemper Engineering Services.

Experience in multiple design environments to include; ASME and API pressure vessels, USCG and Det Norsk Veritas(DNV)certified saturation dive systems, reverse-engineering heavy equipment implements, bridges, machined parts in support of multiple machine shop environments, down-hole tools and devices, NASA lifting body prototypes, and unique piping fabrications. Also completed numerous models in support of Finite Element Analysis(FEA), Computational Fluid Dynamics(CFD) and Kinematic Model analysis. Completed redesign of some items identified above. This work was accomplished utilizing Solidworks software. This job ended when owner, and Principal Engineer, was called back to active duty in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and the office was closed.

Metal Technology, Inc. Slidell, LA (New Technology Development)

Prepared equipment P&ID’s, piping plans and sections, mechanical assembly and part drawings for a new prototype steel cleaning process using Rebis Pro Pipe and AutoCAD Rel. 12. This project involved a brand-new process developed in Russia. I was closely involved with the process engineer from the concept proposal to the prototype stage. I was also involved in material selection and procurement for processes not common to the refinery and chemical process industry.

Prepared P&ID’s, piping plans, sections and isometric drawings utilizing Rebis Pro Pipe, Pro-Iso and AutoCAD Release 12. My area of responsibility for this project consisted of the following; demolition of piping for the existing vacuum pumps, place one new vacuum pump on existing foundation, set and locate foundations for seven new vacuum pumps, run new piping for all packaging area vacuum pumps, locate new pipe rack for all new piping in the packaging vacuum pump area.

Prepared demolition and future P&ID's, motor schematics, interconnection diagrams and loop sheets from a project scope. Walked through the project with engineers and construction personnel to insure construction isometrics

were in agreement with both D&R and future version of project P&ID’s.

OSHA Hazardous Operations Review

Identified P&ID's requiring review to meet OSHA requirements. Cataloged P&ID's belonging to the Hydrogen Peroxide Unit and included same in

plant drawings database index so haz op P&ID's can be readily identified in the future. Updated active drawings to include equipment (equipment incorrectly listed as abandoned) being used in hazardous service. Recommended and executed procedures for efficiently walking down and reviewing haz op P&ID's. Recommended procedures for insuring that updated P&ID's are effectively maintained in the future.

Hydrogen Plant DCS Conversion Project

Converted approximately 150 manual loop drawings to Intergraph and checked for agreement with current P&ID’s.

Power House, Oxone, Hydrogen Cyanide and Sodium Cyanide Plants Performed similar OSHA Hazardous Operations Review for these areas.
