Humana 2014-2023

Most recently was designing and developing prototypes for Remote Patient Monitoring utilizing Internet of Things sensors that are integrated into the Application developed in the Azure Medical cloud. Design was validated by the highest levels at Microsoft.

Was first architect assigned to work with enterprise data security teams to ensure that Amazon Web Services (AWS) would be complaint to all the data security requirements needed by a healthcare organization such as HIPAA. I was also involved in crafting the master agreements between the two business entities (Humana, AWS).

Was lead architect/designer of a hybrid Satellite/LTE system to provide internet access to mobile vehicles that would provide food and various medical services (remote testing) to people in remote areas with marginal or no cellular service (rural Louisiana).

Working with primary WAN and security teams we redesigned the entire network core to facilitate higher levels of traffic to external cloud vendors (AWS, Azure, Google).

As Infrastructure lead architect have ben working last 2 years with INFOSEC team to redesign access from the existing, path-based systems to Identity Access Management (IAM).

Insight Global/Compucom/BT 2013-2014

After analysis of the support systems within Proctor & Gamble, British Telecom, and 3 external teams, I designed an overall support process that took into consideration the specific teams’ responsibilities and locations from a global perspective.

The overall system design was documented in both Visio and Word, including all handoffs within the process flow with gates and deliverables. This was then integrated into the systems that support and monitor the status and transfers of data, dispatch, etc.
