Problem Solving
Led Value Engineering using Best Practices for a high-profile sulfur reduction process licensing firm. Removed sulfur emissions meeting the “IMO 2020” global regulations; planned and instructed value engineering with process licensor and stakeholders; Very Low Sulphur Fuel Oil projects are estimated to be +$150M. Results: Reduction of over $10M per project efficiencies were recognized.
Assigned leadership position in a refining and chemical manufacturing complex supporting reliability and operations and regulatory demands. Reviewed reliability of operating assets; organized in terms of safety and financial impacts; return on Capital Employed facility planning process directive resulting in reduced operations and maintenance costs. Results: The ROCE program led to a continuous savings of over $20M annually.
Executed conversion of saltwater and brine into irrigation water through Cryodesalination. Developed the Cryodesalination process with licensor; assured the process was economically feasible. Results: The process provided quality and quantities of water produced for irrigation at low cost.

Analyzed, reviewed and negotiated large complex Master Service Agreements and Prime contracts. Evaluated commercial terms; prepared risk assessment; negotiated final commercial terms and conditions. Results: Mitigation of risk and driving risk in the form of flow-downs to third parties.
