Get Well Home Health gave me the opportunity to become a case manager as a new grad and have learned a lot. I’ve learned how to think more critically from a management perspective, communicating with nurses as well as physical therapy and occupational therapy about a patient's conditions. Scheduling appointments for our patients depending on their clinical needs and inputting orders from the doctor into their charts is one of the many things we do as case managers as well. Burbank Rehabilitation Center was the facility where I learned the most, I was partnered with almost all the charge nurses at this facility throughout my time here. This was the facility where I was able to gain my confidence and was able to improve my skills day in and day out. As I progressed in my skills, my clinical instructor and some of the charge nurse’s were comfortable enough to let me take charge of their cart and pass out meds with the nurse’s supervision.
