Db Schenker CUSTOMS ENTRY WRITER III

01-2021–PRESENT

I worked for Db Schenker as a Senior Entry Writer. I was afforded the opportunity to be a SuperUser when the new system QuestaWeb was implemented. I was assigned my own team of co-workers who I was responsible for training how to transmit entries to customs using the new system. I mainly transmitted air shipments as my KPI records have been impeccable.

ENTRY WRITER• OEC LOGISTICS

Working as an Entry Writer my job was A-Z logistics. My Job as

an Entry Writer entails ensuring the paper works are complete in

all forms, and coordination of such documents so that goods do

not get delayed or refused unnecessarily at the customs. I was

fortunate to do the following duties: classifying the goods being

imported, compiling the necessary documentation including

cargo-control papers, and customs invoices; signing documents

for clients using power of attorney; monitoring customs rejections;

responding to client inquiries; tracking all duties and taxes owed,

and tariff concessions; representing clients in meetings

and arranging transportation; and storage of goods that are

customs cleared.

While working for ClearFreight I did the same duties as I

completed at OEC Logistics. The Customs platform used here was

CargoWise 1. The primary difference between the different

companies are the consignees, and items that are being exported.
