Job Summary:

Assist the anesthesia care provider with acquiring, preparing and use of equipment, supplies, and medications during the administration of anesthesia. He or She will assist with special procedures and provide support in anesthesia for routine and complex surgical cases. Assembling the essential anesthesia equipment’s i.e.IV (Intravenous) lines, Art lines, CVP lines, Swanz-Ganz Catheter. Monitoring the anesthesia equipment all through the operation. Maintaining involve cleaning and troubleshooting equipment. Maintain the record of the anesthesia supplies used during the procedures. To prepare in advance for emergency operation, the tech will have to keep a record of the operating room schedules. This way the operation may work out smoothly. The Anesthesia Technician should also be well aware of the particular Safety policies and Procedures.

Advance Skills: Responds to Code Blue, Malignant Hyperthermia and assist with the Anesthesia care tram. Assists with obtaining lab specimens and ABGs. Competent in the use of quality assurance for point of care testing equipment.
