Support and assist the FSO with day-to-day activities involving industrial security, clearance processing, facility access and control. Support FSO in daily industrial security operations. Assist new hires and current employees with their personnel security clearance investigations. This entails initiating all new hire clearances under the Lex Park cage code, obtaining clearance justification forms from managers in order to conduct employee clearance actions. Also, initiate current employees for a periodic reinvestigation when it is time for their renewal and obtaining the clearance justification forms in order to conduct employee clearance actions. This includes checking EQIPS to ensure there is no missing information and complies with information being requested. Brief new and current employees when there is a change in clearance status and debrief employees as they leave DCS. Support and assist in sustaining companywide and local security training and awareness program. Maintain Training database and help to give credit to employees as they complete all annual security training requirements and ensure certificates of completion are sent to all DCS employees. Establish and maintain personnel security files for all supported personnel. In a timely manner, prepare all visit requests for Lex Park employees to visit off site cleared facilities as needed. Conduct foreign travel advisories and debriefings. Maintain current approved visitor list and approved vendors for the Lex Park facility. This includes reaching out to the POC for vendors to update the vendor’s access to the facility. Maintain Security Funds and responsible for ordering all supplies for security department at the Lex Park and Metro Park locations. Prepare material for transmission to include the preparation of external transfer receipts, package receipts, mailing labels, envelopes, facsimile transmission sheets and registered mail receipts. Ensure all receipts, logs and certificates are maintained in accordance with NISPOM requirements. Responsible for assisting FSO with classified CDs and HDs- prepares classified to be delivered to the customers. Prepare document cover- sheets and ensure proper classification markings/labeling of material/media and collect and coordinate the destruction of material/media in accordance with applicable Standard Operating Procedures. Prepare and process outgoing visit certifications and validate and schedule incoming visit certifications. Assist with COMSEC accountability and issuance of hand receipts and transfers. Also, receives deliveries from the customer and brings in to accountability. Filling out SAAR-N, and TASS forms when requested from managers and or employees. Complete Reverification checks per requests of managers of their employees. Successfully navigating through DISS and NISS sites to complete job duties as assigned. Complete clear checks as they come through call center for the Lexington Park site/cage code and or to fill in at all other DCS sites when needed, to verify a person is eligible for a position depending on the kind of clearance that is needed for the position. Assists with Security Awareness Month and assist the chairperson as needed. Monitor and respond to Security Call Center daily. Course-ware subjects include professional, personal development and military training topics. Users call, submit web tickets, and email troubleshooting for online training classes. Perform preliminary analysis of user calls and support requests and assist with the resolution of user issues. I maintained an active Top Secret Security Clearance.

Uniformed Services Bureau – House, Senate, Capitol, First Responders Unit, and Library Division Inaugural Task Force, Command Center. Worked in various assignments where I directly supervise from five to fifty officers at any given time during a tour of duty. While assigned to the Inaugural Task Force, I was able to help to plan a successful outcome to the 2009 Inauguration. This allowed me to have the opportunity to Liaison with our partner agencies and help to represent the Department in a positive manner. I was an integral part of the planning and maintaining the physical security of the U.S. Capitol Square. As a Sergeant assigned to the Command Center, I was responsible for assisting the Watch Commander and supervising Officers assigned to the Command Center in order to facilitate daily operations. Daily I would serve as a liaison between the Watch Commander and units in the field. As a Sergeant assigned to the Command Center, I had almost daily contact with the US Capitol Police Command staff and serve as a liaison between the agency and our partner agencies, and our stakeholders. I have expertise in the use of House, Senate, and USCP messaging systems, USCP Camera systems, Airspace, USCP PA/Annunciator Systems, and data entry and email systems. I am able to work in a fast-paced environment and make quick decisions. I have vast experience in preparing incident reports, activity logs, event timelines, memos, and correspondence. I also performed administrative functions in the division office helping with schedules, answering the phones, reports, and other functions as needed. I currently maintain a Top Security Clearance. As a Sergeant for thirteen years, I helped plan high level events, participated in a manpower study, and worked daily with manpower issues.
