Professional Experience

Compensation Analyst Crawford Electric Supply 2015 – 2023

Responsible for working with HR, Finance, and shared services on various compensation related items including but not limited to bonuses, commissions, job description maintenance, job architecture, and other various projects.

Input compensation and payroll data into HRIS.

Prepare and submit salary adjustments for payroll.

Conduct routine salary and system audits to ensure accuracy and competitive wages based on market.

Audit and work with managers to ensure part-time associates do not exceed the base # of max hours deemed to work on an on-going basis.

Work with HRB’s to ensure associates are classified accurately.

Maintain and process any compensation components outside of the regular payroll. Various pay items include, but are not limited to, commissions, various bonus structures, severance packages, special pay, etc.

Talent Acquisition

Responsible for researching/sourcing, developing, and implementing effective recruiting and staffing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified candidates.

Establish and lead recruiting practices and procedures necessary to recruit and retain a high performing and effective workforce.

Streamline recruiting process to ensure positions are filed timely and effectively.

Collaborate with hiring managers to determine ongoing and future hiring needs, as well as working towards lowering turnover rates.

Create/update job descriptions to ensure they accurately reflect the needs of the position.

Create flyers/advertisements for various advertising resources.

Use creative and innovative methods to source and develop pipeline of potential candidates utilizing various sources including, but not limited to, social media, employee referrals, community networking, job fairs.

Monitor and search job/resume boards for active candidates for multiple positions simultaneously.

Prescreen resumes and applications to determine potential fit for open positions based on applicant’s qualifications.

Coordinate interviews with candidates and hiring managers.

Conduct background and drug screen for eligible candidates.

Onboarding process: including, but not limited to, create Offer Letters, collect, and maintain required documentation, assist with new hire transition, identify new hire needs to streamline the process and to create a better experience for the new associate.

Payroll Manager Crawford Electric Supply 2015 – 2023

Responsible for solely managing and processing multiple pay frequencies with multi-state jurisdictions concurrently for 700+ associates using ADP WFN

Manage, process and maintain confidential information/changes for HRIS/Payroll/Time and Attendance system for accuracy for 26 branch locations

Analyze, evaluate work methods, design and implement “best practice” payroll procedures for effectiveness and accuracy

Develop and maintain export and import files

Liaison between payroll and Associates, HR, IT, Accounting regarding payroll information, reports, issues, op-co transfers and other payroll related needs

Provide resolutions and training to various levels of management and branch/field with Payroll concerns, policies and procedures, and Time and Attendance needs

Back up for HR Manager in resolving matters proficiently and expediently, as well as cross-functional support to HR Coordinators, Generalists, Managers and associates in various needs, including but not limited to processing new hire/term/changes paperwork, employee issues, benefits, etc.

Other various payroll tasks, include but not limited to: maintaining commission contracts and payouts, process overtime for Sales associates, garnishments and liens, H.S.A. and 401K funding, transition associates who change pay frequencies, maintain auto allowance, expense, on-call file imports, assist in migration in ADP

Payroll Manager Business Partners in Healthcare- 2012 – 2014

PPO Network

Responsible for administrating bi-weekly, semi-monthly, monthly as well as off-cycle payrolls for over 15+ different companies with employees from various states for a PPO network.

Supervise and train payroll team, in addition to working with client’s Office Managers to assist and train with payroll related functions to ensure accuracy of payroll.

Coordinate and ensure efficiency of payroll processing by implementing standard processes, timelines and other needed information to assist payroll specialists and meet mandated deadlines.

Work very closely with HR Director and Senior management to establish payroll policies and procedures for all current and on-boarding companies.

Establish payroll calendars and pay cycles for existing and on-boarding companies.

Accurately manage and maintain over 500+ payroll records weekly, which included a high turn-over rate for several clients.

Work closely with Human Resources to ensure accuracy of employee’s personal information for payroll purposes, receipt of any documentation needed for payroll (ie: direct deposit forms, W-4’s, etc.).

Work closely with Benefits Coordinator to ensure accuracy of benefit deductions.

Prepare & distribute various payroll reports for appropriate departments (ie: accounting, upper management.).

Handle all aspects of payroll from editing time for employees, researching and reconciling time and attendance issues, computing PTO, accuracy of lien and/or garnishment deductions, state deductions (if applicable) benefit deductions, review and process expenses, process and submit final payroll run to appropriate payroll system/company, paycheck distribution.

Work closely with Human Resource Director in the upgrading and implementations of 3 different payroll systems to service the growing needs of the company.

Provide cross-functional support to Human Resources and work closely with HR Director, assistance included but not limited to interviewing for various positions for clients, processing new hire paperwork, employee issues.
