SKILLS OVERVIEW

I have gained a great many skills through the various opportunities I’ve had in the past. Ever since my college days, as an RA, Youth Counselor, IT Desktop Support, IT Help Desk, or Executive Director, I’ve learned that having good people skills is essential to providing good customer service.

I have over 10 years of experience taking calls in as a help desk/desktop support specialist. I took calls from students and staff at UW-Platteville, United Healthcare, Nsight, or Hospital Sisters Health Systems from thousands of customers, requiring us to navigate multiple screens and applications at the same time to provide information, educate, and help resolve customer inquiries and technical problems. This requires attention to detail, good communication skills, being able to listen to what the customer is calling about, accessing the correct information, and communicating back to the customers to ensure customer satisfaction. I am patient, calm, and understanding, and I can empathize with people easily. Having worked with people and taking care of customers most of my adult life, I believe one of my strengths is that I can relate to people, understand and calmly communicate with customers in a stressful situation. My IT background allows me to be able to quickly learn any new system and be proficient and a productive member of any team.

I am looking for work that is completely remote or has some remote days. As much as I enjoyed my last job, driving an hour each way every day, is just too much travel for me. An ideal opportunity would be a remote or hybrid remote with reasonable pay and good health insurance. EDUCATION
