EXPERIENCE
Hearing Care Professionals
Lead Hearing Care Coordinator
February 2021-present
At Hearing Care Professionals, my title is Lead Hearing Care Coordinator. I am responsible for everything from the front door and lobby, to the treatment rooms and the patient’s experience. I answer phones, schedule appointments while gleaning vital information from the patients, check patients in and out, and balance the drawer. I am responsible for preparing the charts with the correct insurance paperwork, and keeping the providers informed and on track with appointment times. Often we have walk-ins, and it is up to me to find a solution that is appropriate for the patient and the provider, asking the right questions and researching the patients’ chart to decide if the situation is an emergency, or can be scheduled for tomorrow or one week from now. It can be stressful and chaotic, but it is a position I feel I have become extremely skilled at.

Began employment with Arni’s Inc. at their commissary/distribution center. Moved to the restaurant to work on the salad/deli counter. Was promoted to server on the dining floor. I am still depended on by management to help organize and motivate kitchen staff during fast-paced operations. I am relied on to keep an eye on stock, pinpoint problems, and use my communication skills with staff members and customers alike.

Managed day to day operations in the office. Handled all payroll, bill receipt and payment, insurance and permits. Developed an organization strategy for the office, most importantly invoices and job completion and payment record keeping. Communicated efficiently and professionally with homeowners, tenants, landlords, insurance companies, home warranty companies, and suppliers.
Personal Elderly Caregiver
Self-Empl
February 2008 - November 2016
Had the pleasure of assisting a wonderful lady, and her family, through some of lifes’ biggest transitions. Began by visiting an elderly woman when her husband was alive and well, and they were living in a large home. My responsibilities began with housework, grocery shopping, and gardening. After her husband passed suddenly, the family asked me to increase my time spent with her. My activities with her grew to include her banking, personal hygiene, medication and doctor appointments and communication between patient, doctor, pharmacy and family. I stayed on with her through her move to assisted living, and into new health issues. She remains a dear friend, and my children and I call her family. This was, by far, my most rewarding work experience!
