Worked on the design optimization of Artificial Intervertebral Disc (AIVD) for the human lumbar spine.

Assisted the professors in lab classes along with the lab preparation, invigilated the scheduled exams, etc.

Validated the problem solutions, graded the students’ assignments, and updated the grades on the Blackboard.

Held office hours to help students solve their technical problems to expedite their learning process. Research and Development Officer Azad Boilers Limited, Dhaka, Bangladesh Feb 2017 – Dec 2020

Designed 3 horizontal Fire Tube Steam Boilers and 2 Vertical Tubeless Steam Boilers.

Extensively used AutoCAD to draw the 2D cross-sectional views of the boilers.

Designed boilers got approved by the Office of the Chief Inspector of Boilers, Ministry of Industry, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, and got permission to manufacture them under their consecutive inspections in the factory.

Both ASME BPVC and British Standard codes have been applied in the design.

Also worked on the Data Acquisition System (DAQ) for recording temperatures during the heat treatment of the boilers and then exported them for documentation.

ACADEMIC PROJECTS

Design optimization of Artificial Intervertebral Disc (AIVD) for the human lumbar spine. Jan 2021 - Dec 2023

Designed an intervertebral unit comprising L4 and L5 with an intervertebral disc in between in SolidWorks.

Took the designed model into ANSYS for simulation in the Finite Element Method in order to populate the Load- Displacement data table for different material conditions.

Derived a displacement model using Second-order Nonhomogeneous Differential Equations.

Used an ARDUINO UNO along with a motor controller, sensors (SONAR, IR), etc. to build the 3-wheel bot.

I utilized Autodesk AutoCAD 2017 extensively for this purpose. Additionally, I was responsible for managing the company's boiler database, employing Microsoft Office Suite 2016 for the task. This portfolio showcases the design work for three boilers that I contributed to. Given that our company served predominantly textile industry clients, these boilers found application in various capacities within textile factories. Designed the following Tubeless Boiler which is capable of producing 320 kg of steam per hour with the heating surface of 6.11m2. This one consumes natural gas (methane) at the rate of around 22m3 per hour.

Fig. Cross-sectional views of the parts of the boiler (1000kg per hour) Biomechanics Research in Central Michigan University [2021-2023] Designed an Artificial Intervertebral Disc (L4-L5) (comprising of Nucleus Pulposus, surrounded by Annulus Firbrosus layer, and covered by an endplate) in SolidWorks 2016 and ran simulation in Ansys Workbench 2021 to populate the Load-Displacement data table in MS Excel.
