In that position, I greeted patients and loved ones into the Surgery center. I would then register and process their information as needed including processing co pays. I would take and transfer phone calls and take messages as needed. I was in contact with the nursing staff to make sure I was aware of delays, late or early arrivals and cancelations. I would then process the patient's anesthesia record and any images taken during surgery into their chart. I would call Altru when Epic access was needed for scheduling information. I made up the anesthesia and bracelets for the patient's files and put the registration and covid sheets together for the next day. After the nurses call each patient for the time and instructions for their surgery, I would then print out a schedule for the next day and a doctor room schedule. I made sure each clinic would get a copy of their doctor's schedule and operation room number for the day or block. I was also in charge of release of medical records.

While working at Amazon I reached and maintained a senior position assisting customers in Concierge. I participated in peer coaching, data mining and I was part of the launching of the new Kindle application (Mayday). I was also an asset in the Polar plunge and donation for the Circle of Friends and more.
Amazon went work from home and so did I.
It wasn't something I wanted to do or liked. Work from home at that time just wasn’t for me. I did last about 1 years doing that before I found Altru.
