Responsible for independently performing advanced accounting duties in the review, verification and adjustment of County Office, District, and other assigned accounts, such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, purchasing and grants administration. Audit accounts for errors and make appropriate adjustments. Receive, review, prepare and distribute accounts payable invoices, as assigned. Review, process and evaluate pay warrants and accounts receivable invoices. Audit and distribute accounts payable batches for various school districts as required. Prepare invoices and arrange for billings as directed. Maintain, audit and reconcile assigned accounts. Input a variety of financial and statistical data into an assigned computer system, which is the QSS System. Verify District deposits and post them accordingly in the SAP System for the County Treasurer's Office. Also maintain copy charges monthly and post them to the correct budget. Verifying details of transactions, including funds received from coaches and advisors for outings, clubs, athletic events, student photos and similar activites. I am responsible for petty cash, ensuring that all monies are receipted properly. I also reconcile monthly bank statements within one week of receipt, per banking policy. I also make sure school banking and audit rules and regulations are being followed by all coaches and advisors in the school. I also maintain records of accounts in the tracks/school books accounting program, suitable for auditing purposes and end of the year reports and reconciliations. I work very closely with Administrators, Teachers, Parents and Students. I also fill in for the Office Manager when she is out sick. I also Coded the general ledger and processed vendor invoice payments. I also made sure that School Banking and Audit rules and regulations were being followed by all Coaches and Advisors. I reconciled the Bank Statement each month as well as performed General Accounting Duties with the High School, such as payroll, reconciling accounts and budget.

Clark County School District October 2003 to June 2005 Deans Secretary-Dell H Robison Middle School

During this time period, I was promoted to the Deans Secretary position at the same Middle School where I started as In-House Suspension Teacher. In this position, I was at the front counter in the Deans Office. I had to direct students who were sent by teachers to sign in, input their referrals in the Deans Database and have them sit quietly and wait to see the Dean. I also did all of the necessary paperwork for students who were RPC'd, Suspended or Expelled for various reasons. I also made Parent Conference appointments with the Deans in order for the students to be able to come back to school.
