With CVS M&A with other partner Insurance, healthcare clients to be more effective in delivering the healthcare solutions to the customers, we are developing a brand new SPP workflow application model that outperforms the solutions available in the market for the CVS Pharmacy users to handle patients, prescribers, MD outreach, prescriptions and fax workflows, Adjudication, insurance validations, intake, Drug Referral, RxEntry/Verification, Dispense Maintenance, Bill groups, RPH verification, Order download, scheduling, patient engagement, pharmacy etc. Specialty Pharmacy focuses on high cost, high touch medication therapy for patients with complex disease states. Medications range from oral to cutting edge injectable and biologic products. This IT Architecture must holistically address needs across stakeholders like CVS Health, Prescribers, Pharma/Mfg., Payors/Clients, Patients and lines of business-like Specialty Mail, Specialty Retail, Coram, ACS, Accordant etc.

SPP Workflow –

1.A new patient comes to Specialty, or an existing patient starts a new drug.

2.Every item that dispenses must have an Rx in the system (incl. supplies, kits, etc.)

3.Claims can be electronic (ECS) or paper (medical). ECS should pay prior to scheduling.
