ACADEMIC PROJECTS

TITLE: IMAGE PROCESSING ON ZYNQ (FPGA)

Objective was to input the image via Ethernet from a computer, process the image & output via HDMI interface.

The concept of point processing, neighborhood processing, line buffer, MAC unit, control unit etc. and their designs.

Performing simulations of the above.

TITLE: INTRUDER DETECTION SYSTEM USING (PSR) & (SSR), December 2021- May 2022

Objective was to detect the presence of an object which would be a flying object in the real- world application of the actual equipment, the object is later interrogated by the secondary surveillance RADAR to detect whether the flying object is a friend or a foe.

The concept of The RADAR is realized using an Arduino UNO microcontroller, Ultrasonic sensor and a Zigbee module at the ground station end.

The other end is present in the flying object which represent an IFF (Identification of a friend or foe) transponder which gives the replies based on the interrogations. This portion is realized using an Arduino UNO microcontroller and a Zigbee module.

The microcontrollers are programmed accordingly as per the requirement of the scale model. INTERNSHIPS

Objective was to know about the different Electrical & Avionics instruments and units present in various aircrafts.

Created various simulations of equipment’s like GPS system in an aircraft & ILS (instrument landing system) Localizer.

Understood the usage of instruments like Radio Altimeter, V/U HF radio and other instruments.

The flow of the signals to the ADC (air data computer) from the pitot static probe was effectively understood.

Objective was to design the basic digital circuits using Verilog, the tools used were Intel Quartus Prime and ModelSim.
