Manufacturing Supervisor for Health Care operations of the Atlas machine, and supervising hourly employee’s for the operation and cleaning of the Egan Dryer and the smaller dryers. I have the complete authority of 2nd shift operation. This included all production, quality, and FDA paperwork.

Professional Experience

AM General 2003 to 2012

Lead Quality Assurance Supervisor, 2010 to 2012

Developed the Quality Audit Procedure for the MV-1 vehicle. This included daily audits of the entire vehicle’s chassis, engine, exterior paint, interior, water test, squeak and rattle, and drive performance. All data was recorded for plant performance.

Supplier Quality, Quality Control Engineer, 2008 to 2012

Worked with suppliers in getting and maintaining PPAP warrants proving that they have quality systems in place.

Entered quality PPAP and Warrants into SAP system for quality documentation control.

SPLO (Service Parts Logistics Operations) developing and maintain MIL standards for the FRAG 7 program. This consisted of developing verification process, checks, and continuous monitoring of all material being supplied into a kit. Kit was sent to military operations over sea for installation to HUMVEE’s.

Quality Control Engineer, 2003 to 2010

Hummer Assembly Plant, developed the quality IOS, JES, and SOS for the quality verification process. These books were developed for the Painting Process and Body Shop Process. Verification processes were also developed for Weld Destruct, and the CMM operation, that I had full responsibly of.

Assigned to GM Marion Stamping Plant on two programs.

oImprove the quality of their rework program which we improve 45%.

o GM’s D 20 Program of approval process from Die model to stamping, with improvement at the design level.

Was trained to developed inspection stations known as Plantman to record all defect data into graphical charts so we could work on quality issue. This program is also used by Toyota and Nissan.

In 2008 was assigned to the Reprocess Department for the 2008 Hummer launch, which all critical launch dates where meet.

Aviation Center 2001 to 2003

Chief Flight Instructor

In charge of running the flight school at Ann Arbor Airport.

Develop a standardized process of instruction with all seven flight instructors.

Developed a record retention program to evaluate each student during his/her flight training.

Implemented phase checks for each student during their flight training.

Conducted ground schools for private and instrument training.

Ratings held: Commercial Pilot, Certified Flight Instructor, Certified Flight Instructor Instrument, Multi-Engine Instructor, Multi-Engine Instrument Instructor.

Visteon Corporation 2000 to 2001

Senior Manufacturing Engineer

Assign to the ILVS launch team for the focus program to develop an ILVS system to Wayne Assembly Plant. This launch was extremely successful and saved one million yearly in inventory cost.

Developed a recycling program for obsolete paint systems that made a profit for the company. This process is still in effect today instead of scrapping system off the books.

Assigned to the Taurus/Sable injection molding tooling program. I worked with design center for fit/finish, 5 mph impact requirements of front and rear fascia’s.

Ford Motor Company 1970 to 2001

Senior Manufacturing Engineer

Assigned to the DN-5 program (Taurus/Sable) to develop a painting system for fascias. This system was all robotic with 42 Fanuc Robots. Spraying ad pro material, color base coat and clear coat. System design was for 720 fascia’s per hour. Highly successful launch.

Design wire frames with 314 stainless steel for painting fixtures. A cost saving of 5 million dollars over aluminum bucks.

Incorporated X-Rite color system to achieve color harmony with assembly plants.

Ford was working on a transition from eliminating the quality department and having all the engineers handle the APQP, PPAP, Design and Process FMEA’s, and development of control plans. All engineers received extensive training from Eastern Michigan University for this transition.

The Engineering Department was also given extensive training about Ergonomics, and that training came from University of Michigan.

Ford Motor Company – cont.

Process Engineer

Process engineer for two painting and assembly areas. One system painted all SMC parts and the other paint all polycarbonate parts for Ford and Mercury car lines.

Made all painting and tooling fixtures for paint systems. Incorporated the assembly line process with the off loading of the painting system. Savings from storage and handling damage.

General Supervisor

Assumed responsibilities of the Sheet Molding operation. This comprise of seven supervisors and 350 union employees. The operation made fiberglass sheet, molding GOP’, GOR’s, F-9000’s Fenders, and Econoline Hoods. Operation was a turnkey operation from raw material, paint and assembled.

Utility Production Supervisor

Assume full responsibly of a Utility supervisor that could work all process in the manufacturing plant. This included launching new products, vacation relief, medical coverage, or any other assignment. This included all 3 shifts if needed.

Production Supervisor

Developed process for assembly lines for the F-150 and F-250 instrument panel line. This operation was the first of its kind to use high impact polycarbonate material for the instrument panel. The operation was turn - key, all gauges, louvers, and brackets in place. Truck plant just had to install completed panel.

Stamping operation for the starter and horn housing. Operation ran from raw material, 3 die stamping, to washing down to assembly line for completed product. Increased cycle time from 8 seconds to 5 seconds strikes. Increased production 270 parts per hours.
