Responsible for preparing steel coils and cast rings for plating in the blasting cabinet, reviewing blasted parts for adequacy of blasting operation, loading parts into plating fixtures, placing loaded fixtures into the plating tanks, obtaining samples for testing and delivering samples to the lab for plating thickness, completing plating of orders, entering plating information into computer, and moving completed orders to the next work station. Also responsible for preliminary evaluation of plated parts for possible defects, entering order information into plating computer, ensuring proper plating program and parameters are being run, checking published schedule for proper plating order, and other operations as assigned by supervisor and team leaders.
