Currently serving as School Student Council Advisor and 4th & 5th Grade Teacher. Students of both grades receive academic learning daily in the core disciplines of English, Math, Science, and Social Studies. Students are trained in the areas of Entrepreneurship, Technology, and Engineering. Responsible for Take Time to Talk Tuesdays Project (Student Counseling Project).

Certified Member of the National Tutoring Association, participated in training classes to improve tutoring practices and learn new tutoring techniques, manages day-to-day operations of hiring and dismissing tutors, training staff of 5 in various study techniques and methodologies, assist students after school in mastering various skillsets for the different subject matter, and is the creator of the annual Tutors R Us, Columbia Summer Team Spelling Bee, Boys vs. Girls. (Summer Learning Project).

Graduated with a 3.0 G.P.A. Took business courses relevant to office work, as Business Administration was my initial major. Voted Most Likely to Succeed, O.R. Rueben Scholar, Anna B. Rueben Scholar, and Who’s Who Among Colleges and Universities.
COMMUNICATION
Created, spearheaded, and enforced various school projects such as Socktober/Toe-vember, the Mochila Project (Community Book & Bookbag Giveaway), Charlie’s Columbia Backyard Author Visit, Summer Team Spelling Bee; Boys vs. Girls, arranged for the council to meet twice a month; one on the yard and one at I-Hop for breakfast, while using Roberts Rule of Order. Played the guitar at the City of Columbia’s Pinehurst Park Playground Groundbreaking Ceremony, while students sang. Also created the Excelsior Saturday Morning Mentoring Program.
LEADERSHIP
Currently serving Richland County CASA as a Guardian ad Litem. Responsible for representing abused and neglected children in court and monthly visits. Spearheaded the Excelsior Youth Services after-school and spring, winter, and summer camp programs. Currently serves as Program Director and Professional Academic Tutor at Tutors R Us, Columbia where students in Columbia and Lexington Counties are assisted.
