Provides quarterly and yearly testing of smoke stacks for EPA compliance.

MonitorTech provides consulting, engineering, software, and field service for emissions monitoring systems. I hold patents and copyrights for emissions monitoring systems.

From October, 2003, to October, 2006, MonitorTech was the consultant to Shaw Group, on an exclusive basis, for emissions monitoring business development.

Air-World Environmental, Inc. President Nov. 1997 – Aug. 2003 sold

Air-World Environmental, Inc. designed and built the first micro-technology based fuel cell stack gas monitoring systems and ambient air monitoring systems. This was a full service business providing manufacturing, engineering, software, and field service. The business saw the development of the new technology from versions 1 to 4. More than twenty-five systems from versions 1 to 4 are still in daily operation in several countries, including the US. Every system has passed EPA certification on the first test.

Shamrock Environmental Monitoring Systems, Inc.

President Nov. 1994 – Sept. 1997 Sold

Shamrock Environmental Monitoring Systems, Inc. provided consulting services and development of software and hardware for Testo, Gmbd. This resulted in the development of the Testo 350 and 360 portable stack gas monitoring equipment designed to meet the requirements of the US EPA and TUV in Germany.

The company provided turnkey installation, operation, and maintenance for over twenty-five CEMS.

I started the CEMS division for Enviroplan. The company was a well-recognized provider of consulting and ambient monitoring services.

Under my supervision sale became world wide.

I developed the companies’ dilution control panels, dilution air clean-up systems, the first heated dilution probes, and NH3 monitoring systems for CEMS.

Under my leadership the company became the recognized leader in dilution extractive CEMS monitoring systems. Enviroplan, under my direction, went from $1.5 million to over $40 million in yearly sales.

A manufacturer of in-situ and opacity CEMS.

I recognized the need for the dilution extractive sampling system, replacing the in-situ CEMS on scrubbers. I sold and developed the first dilution extractive sampling systems in the US based on a dilution probe developed in Europe.

A German company, with international operations, I used those connections to develop worldwide sales.

I helped negotiate the sale of the division to Thermo Electron. I remained at Thermo Electron to facilitate the integration of the two companies.

Environmental Data Corp. was the pioneer in in-situ flue gas monitoring systems. I oversaw the development of the first computer based data collection and reporting systems for CEMS.

Westsail Corporation V.P. Sales June 1974 to September 1975

Newport Beach, CA.

A manufacturer of quality sail boats.

I totally redid the marketing and opened sales up to international marketing. I reorganized the sales force from owner/sellers to stocking distributors in several countries.

I increased sales from a back log of two weeks, and total of ten boats at one factory, to a backlog of 6 months out of two factories and three different boat designs. Total backlog was over 300 boats.

I have presented over a hundred technical papers at trade conventions on EPA law and technology development.

PATENTS AND COPYRIGHTS:

I have developed technology that is the basis for nine patents, patents pending, and copyrights. All of these are in the field of CEMS. I hold two patents for CEMs equipment and have co-invented a patent for NH3.

EPA ACTIVITIES:

I was part of the Acid Rain Advisory Committee for the EPA 1990 Clean Air Act.

I was a member of the Stakeholders Committees for the EPA’s Compliance Assurance Monitoring committee, Credible Evidence Committee and the IRRC Committee.

PROFESSIONAL ORGANIZATIONS:

Board member for the Air Waste Management Association.

Member of the Instrument Society of America.
