As a Community Advocate, I joined a collective of other advocates as we pushed for social change with goals of lowering crime, violence, and self destructive behaviors plaguing our community. In order to get a deeper understanding of these social problems we volunteered at charities and community gatherings to see what others have done and been doing to cultivate the skills necessary to cope with these challenges. All profits and donations went towards our local schools and helping to resolve these challenges, such as unemployment and domestic violence.

As a Cashier, working at Mcdonalds, I was responsible for taking orders from the customer ensuring that they got exactly what they wanted, and how they wanted it. We were also responsible for handling any complaints and inquiries for customers when approached which included,processing refunds, bagging and wrapping food in to ensure it reached its destination in tact and following all safety protocol from food allergens to fire drills.

While working at L&M Bargain my duties ranged from the front as a cashier to the back in the warehouse. As a Cashier I was responsible for conducting and overseeing returns, purchases, and ensuring that all trades occurring in the store were between items of equal value. I was also required to make sure the store front was properly stocked and up to date with the corporate seasonal and promotional displays as given. Even though we were stationed by the registers, we were required to patrol the store and watch out for shoplifters who may be gathering merchandise. As a Warehouse staff, It was my responsibility to checking in and sending out merchandise from the store and trucks, setting up merchandise on racks and shelves in an organized manner, and keeping track of all receipts and records processed throughout the stockroom.
