Senior Credit Controller 2005/2022

Main task involved timely collection of all debts from company Debtors.

I was responsible for all debtors under the alphabet A-M. This was a huge portfolio with collections totaling over $8million dollars a month. Some of the customers in this listing averaged over $1 million dollars a month in purchases with the business.

I was tasked to keep 60% of all debtors listing under 30 days at any given time.

Resolving disputes from difficult customers was an area I managed quite well. I used my calm nature to get things solved without letting it escalate further.

Allocating cash receipts from daily billings and also allocating EFT from the bank deposits.

Preparing customer account reconciliations daily.

Monitoring and supervision of the credit team to ensure team has done correct banking and payment allocation in the system.

Ensure timely closing of monthly statements and sending them across to customers within 3 working days.

Preparing daily banking reports and weekly banking forecast.

Preparing of customer master creation and reference check for customers.

Weekly follow up with sales team to ensure collection targets are met.

Preparing and submitting management reports within 3 days of the closure of the month.

Participating in Sales team meetings to go over debtors listing with team members.
