Work History

1983-1988- I worked in a 5 bed care home as well as a 10 bed care home. (Owner past away July 2010)

My work consisted of personal care of residents- shower, bed bath, dress, cook, clean, medication for scheduled times, schedule Docor appointments, family visits, church, activities, going out for walks. I would work night shift during the school year. During the summer and holidays, I would work day shift.

1983-1988- I worked with Mesa Public Schools in a Special Needs Class (Teacher's Aide) of teens with behavioral issues. My duties consisted of working one on one with students to keep them on task. Help with personal care, feeding, taking on outings to help them adjust to new environments.

From 1988-1989 I worked in a nursing home in Scottsdale. Night shift we changed, turned and cleaned, give drinks to residence every 2 hours.

1989- 1993 I worked Private Duty (mostly live-in). My work consisted of scheduling doctors appointments, families visits, shopping trips, groceries lists, daily activities, taking to game day/night time activities, bingo, cards, crafts, dinner, companionship, personal care, dressing, feeding, cooking, cleaning.

1994-2011 I worked as a Pizza Delivery Driver as well as Flower Delivery Driver. (I started driving for Karen's Flower's in 1986 on call as well as full-time. I did this work to try something different than home care.

1998-2001 I worked as a Nanny while caring for my Step-Son and my niece and 2 nephews.

In 1999, I had my first child but continued working as a Nanny up until my second child was born (2001) and we moved to Prescott Valley,Az.

2008-2011- Child Care of a set of Quads and their older brother. They (Quads) where 5 and (the older brother) 8 years old at the time. I would schedule with parents pick up and drop off times, daily activities to keep all kids busy and entertained. I made meals, and even helped with homework. June 2011-Aug.2011

I worked in a Group Home for 5 DDD ladies. I was a care giver for Personal care as well as Habilitation. I would help schedule outing times, schedule work drop off and pick up, drive residents to appointments, teach personal care, supervise while teaching chores and independent living skills.

2007-2015

I was a volunteer in church class rooms and nursery. I worked with all ages of kids from new born to high school.

I had been a volunteer parent at children's school for 5 years.

Rise Services Working as a DCW for 3 young Women. Schedule and drive to appointments, teach life skills for independent living.

Zarapath Services Working as the over night DCW and house keeper. I cooked breakfast did laundry, dishes, cook and clean house,while staying alert for children sleeping. I also worked days with the kids supervision was a major need for them. Help them learn living skills, schedule appropriate outings and drive to activities supervising at all times. 2011- 2013 I took Foster/Adoptive Parent Classes with my husband as well as First Aide, CPR, Artical 9, Direct

Care Worker. I took care of Foster kids (3 siblings-5, 6 and 9 years old)

for 2 months for a Foster family on week-ends. (Some Behavior issues). Schedule and take to activities to keep them busy.

August 2013 to May 2017 I was a paraprofessional at Mesa Public Schools,where I had been working with Children with learning or physical disabilities. I also worked 1/1 with kids with Autism, and other special needs at Highland Arts Ele., Webster and Pomoroy Elementry Schools

Job duties were to help kids stay on task, help with life skills, help them interact with other peers and teachers, log into site to keep daily records of activities and behaviors for the school.

Oct 2016- 2019

I was working with 2 men with dementia. I was there for personal care, redirect, fix meals, and keep active. I would schedule outings to help them be able to get out of the house.

Feb. 2018-Aug 2018

Working with 4-5 year olds with Autism. Teaching daily skills, meals, sign and just getting them to enjoy daily activities. Getting them to try new foods and keeping behaviors from happening. I would log in to keep daily records of activities and behaviors for the company.

Mar.2018-March 2020

Nanny for a child 16mo at that time who had Downs syndrome/ Cancer.

I worked with sign language, OT and PT. keeping him active and daily learning. Help with scheduling OT, PT, doctors and hospital appointments and activities to make easier on the parents.

I also had another 3 year old with Downs Syndrome part time to keep busy and learning when she wasnt in preschool.

I would cook, clean, feed meals/ feeding tube, IV care, medications as scheduled, bathe, dress, lots of play/ learning time.

March 2020-April 2021

I worked at my church day care and evening child care for 2-26 kids daily.

Plan and schedule activities, log daily activities and report to supervisor or parents of the days schedule.

April 2021-June 2021

I worked retail at Border Town Store in the Goldfield Ghost town in Apache Junction.

I would set store up for daily openings, organize store and outside to encourage sales. Work cash register, customer Sevice, take special orders and call customers when items were available. I would schedule times to go shopping for store and customers.

June 2021- March 2022

I worked for a former coworker that had health issues of dementia. My job was to care for her needs- to be her companion and friend, medications, meals, personal care, lifting in and out of chair and bed. Keeping up on the change of medications and changing health care as the disease took over. Called in for Hospice to help in the end . I scheduled doctors appointments, in home nurses, care givers and family to keep everyone on track of daily schedule. I went to doctors appointments as well as stayed at hospital while she was there. I gave care day and night till she passed. I Helped with final preparations calling and scheduled nurses to come to home.

Nov. 2020- current

Working for a private care home for 8-9 elderly residents. Job is to help with personal care, showers, bed bath, changing, help with getting in and out of bed, chairs, help with eating, entertainment of games, movies, talking companionship. Keep a daily log of activities, family visits.

Sept 2022

Autism center

Working one on one with kids 18month - 6 years old diagnosed with Autism.

Teaching life skills needed for going to school, social, home and public places.

Teaching sign language when needed, group play, sharing, transitioning, helping to get them to not run when it isn’t appropriate and learning to respond to their name.
