Fires & Targeting Lead Collective Trainer Fort Cavazos, TX 2022 - 2023

Served as the Senior Fires Trainer/Instructor for the Fort Cavazos Mission Training Center (MTC). Coached and mentored Field Artillery Brigades (FAB) and Battalion staff on the Fires Warfighting function through a realistic challenging simulation environment utilizing the Joint Land Component Constructive Training Capability (JLCTCC).

●Shared responsibilities with the overall exercise designer for developing the training delivered to all FA units and synchronized efforts with the Technical Team in charge of delivering networking and simulation.

●Delivered Mission Command training by integrating MCIS equipment to include CPCE, JBC-P, AFATDS, and JADOCS that make Command Posts Common Operation Picture (COP); coordinated the development of training through meetings with BDE and BN Operations Officers to ensure key training objectives were being met.

●Developed the training criteria for the Fort Cavazos MTC’s Pre-Joint Fires Observer (JFO) Course that prepares 13F (Fire Support Specialists) for a certification course that enables them to deliver targeting data to Close Air Support (CAS) platforms.

●Trained fire Supporters on call for fire ranging from the ranks of Private to Sergeant First Class utilizing the Virtual Battle Space (VBS3); led a Targeting workshop for Warrant Officers and Majors that focused on the roles and responsibilities of target development during the Joint Targeting Cycle.

United States Army Fort Hood, TX 2020 - 2022

FA Fire Support Master Gunner/ Operations NCO

Advised air commanders on army organization, operations, tactics, capabilities, and equipment and coordinated with the army, special operations, and other government agencies during joint operations and training. Provided briefings, debriefings, inputs to targeting cycle, and situational updates during deployment in Afghanistan.

●Established and maintained an android team awareness kit (ATAK) program that streamlined overall situational awareness through geospatial intelligence, precision targeting, navigation, and data sharing; managed courseware and examinations approved by DIVARTY Commander and created JFO Con-ops, Sim Briefs, Grading sheets, and Blackboard classes for Students to have 24-hour access to courseware in Blackboard.

●Sole Instructor of four Joint Fire Observer classes for senior noncommissioned officers that made up the two-week FA Fire Support Observers (JFO); acted as advisor to chief of field artillery, deputy commandant, and director of training operations & doctrine as subject matter expert (SME) on joint fires and effects for entire US Army advising on support programs throughout field artillery community.

●Mentored and advised 10+ battalion leadership in the development of fire support certifications and evaluation programs; resolved personnel and equipment issues as liaison between USA field artillery schoolhouse (USAFAS) and field units.

Targeting NCO Camp Humphreys South Korea 2019 - 2020

Built models in the Integrated Munitions Effects Assessment (IMEA) database and provided weaponeering solutions through Advanced Target Development in Support of Eight Army’s (8A) complicated Counter Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD) mission. Developed concepts, to include operational architectures and information exchange for FA systems, which will allow interoperability with other Army, joint, and international systems.

Reviewed and commented on CONOPS, draft field manuals, white papers, and other draft capability development documents to support current and future capabilities development efforts.

Planned and supported FA-related studies and analysis, FA operational input to Modeling and Simulation support for Fire Sim XXI, Tabletop Exercises, Map Exercises, and Battle Lab simulations.

Interfaced regularly with the Domain action officers to track and update program statuses including preparing and presenting reports and briefings on projects to senior leadership including monthly Futures briefings to the Commanding General and Commandants.

Joint Fires Observer Instructor & Writer Fort Sill, OK 2015 - 2019

Served as an instructor, writer, and subject matter expert on 15 classes inside joint fires observer course and matters for the US Army Fire Center of Excellence (FCoE), certified to instruct classes including army attack aviation and CAS planning. Designed, implemented, and provided quality control for all training products and coursework, assisted in planning and controlling projected training programs to train and evaluate students under actual, simulated, and classroom conditions

Planned instructor training and certifications that focused on subject knowledge, delivery techniques, and time; standardized courseware presentation in all classes for the school house.

Worked inside the Evaluation Entry System (EES) when mentoring and rating subordinate NCOs; executed certification of new JFOs through simulation utilizing the Call For Fire Trainer(s) I and II relying on the system’s form fit and function to meet Joint Standards outlined in the Joint Fires Observer Memorandum of Agreement.

Trained Students on proper operation of the Lightweight Laser Designator Rangefinder (LLDR), techniques for range finding and ground lasing minimizing target location error (TLE) within 15 meters; certified over 200 Fire Support Specialists as Joint fire observers while assigned to the JFO School House.

United States Army Central Operations Sergeant Shaw Afb, SC 2014 - 2015

Served as the Operations Sergeant for the Arabian Peninsula and Levant on an Army-level staff for the Strategy and Effects/International Military Affairs (IMA) Division.

Developed, managed, planned, and executed the US Army Central (USARCENT) Theater Security Cooperation (TSC) plan for 11 countries of the Arabian Peninsula and Levant Sub-region.

Provided guidance, oversight, and mentorship to 6 officers on the planning, resourcing, coordination, and execution of all TSC engagements.

Helped manage a budget of over $7.9M for Theater Security Cooperation within the Central Command (CENTCOM) Area of Responsibility; handled all logistics, symposiums, attendance, and purchases for over 150 events in 11 different countries.

Brigade Fires Operations Sergeant Fort Hood, TX 2012 - 2014

Served as brigade fire operations sergeant of an armored brigade combat team, supervising unit command post operations and acting as senior enlisted advisor for fire support to the brigade commander, fire support coordinator, and fire support officer. Supervised, coordinated, and implemented weapon and aviation training programs and owned all administrative matters, directed joint fire support operations to include target acquisition.
