At Williams Mullen, I worked with five very busy healthcare attorneys. I organized and kept their files up to date, oversaw their regulatory filings and made sure we met all deadlines for Medicare/Medicaid appeals, Certificates of Public Need, and the many briefs that we filed, as well as being responsible for proofreading and revising briefs and other legal documents and correspondence. I also performed all other administrative duties, including monthly time entry and billing for all five attorneys. Our main representation was of nursing homes, home care companies and other medical facilities that we helped with their extensive regulatory work, which was always done on a time sensitive schedule. My strengths are transcribing, proofreading, being detail oriented along with my organizational skills and my ability to calmly meet last minute deadlines.

Before moving back to Richmond in 1987, I lived in San Pedro, California, Honolulu, Hawaii and New York City, New York. In New York City, I worked for Paul Weiss Law Firm, which is where I started using my proofreading skills. Also, while living in New York, I managed a restaurant in the Upper East Side of the City.

I am proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF Pro, various billing software programs, including the most recently used - Aderant, and I have extensive experience in transcribing and proofreading, and I am very quick to learn new computer programs.
