Duties: Prospecting and refining leads for entry into the Army National Guard; investigating qualifications based on gained knowledge during interview process, in conjunction with Army regulations and policies. Determine applicant enlistment eligibility, counseling applicants on enlistment programs and options, preparing enlistment applications and processing qualified applicants. Account for future soldiers for initial entry training, implement and conduct Army awareness programs, maintain a network of influencers, and perform administrative and logistical tasks. Utilize backwards planning and efficient time management to coordinate and facilitate Recruiting events within the communities and schools. Conduct thorough market analysis of target areas and audience, to include own strengths/weaknesses, in order to develop a business strategy for the most effective return on investment.

Western Regional Retention NCO, Army National Guard Bureau 11/2018-09/2019

Duties: Served as an Army Retention subject matter expert (SME) to 14 states on the western part of the Nation. Built and maintained rapport with Retention personnel at all levels, across all 14 states. Trained over 150 soldiers, junior enlisted to Lieutenant Colonels, on retention systems; DPRO, RMS. Trained said personnel on best practices, how to pull and analyze retention data, how to conduct counseling (4856), how to conduct an extension (4836), as well as the ins and outs of the Sponsorship module. Met with VIPs to discuss their State’s standings amongst the nation and how to improve upon those numbers. Granted RMS access to over 150 soldiers. Created and disseminated product nationally to ensure all levels had a solid understanding of how to complete retention processes, as well as where to find answers to problems.

Mobilized: Operation Enduring Freedom; Bagram, Afghanistan 12/2013-09/2014

Duties: Developed, and instructed, a self-defense program to over 2,000 military and civilian personnel. Served as a senior vehicle operator, supervising and assisting in the operation of vehicles over various terrain in support of garrison and combat operations; verify routes are secure and clear prior to and during the movement of convoys and liaison for seven down trace units consisting of over 800 Soldiers; manage loading and unloading of personnel and equipment to include protected cargo against damage; perform vehicle self-recovery and field expedients to include towing; assist with training and maintaining driver skills for drivers; responsible for the welfare of four Soldiers; responsible for over $800,000 worth of equipment; responsible for convoy battle trackers, incident reports and mission spreadsheets, developed the Battalion Force SOP, revised Battalion Convoy SOP, assisted the Battalion Plans Officer with Fragmentary Orders, mentor and counsel lower enlisted Soldiers, develop remedial physical training programs for Soldiers, make sound decisions within.

Recruit Sustainment Drill Sergeant, United States Army National Guard 06/2011-10/2013

Duties: Ensure all Recruits are properly received, integrated, trained and MOS qualified prior to joining their units as fully deployable assets; responsible for the mental preparation, administrative correctness and physical fitness for all assigned Recruits; assist in training and mentorship to prepare Recruits for the rigors of IET; manage unit end strength through persistent AWOL recovery, lead generation and training pipeline loss elimination; provide for the welfare of Recruits through monitoring pay, promotions and education incentives; work with community and school leaders to resolve Recruit issues.

Mobilized: Operation Enduring Freedom; Bagram, Afghanistan 08/2009-07/2010

Duties: Served as a crew served weapons specialist during convoy operations. Provided mounted roaming security for non-weaponized vehicles and personnel via M19, M2, M240, M249. Ensured the safety of all convoy personnel for over 200 missions. Ensured all hauled cargo was properly loaded and secured (via chains and binders, ratchet straps, locking pins) according to motor transport standards.

Mobilized: Operation Iraqi Freedom; Kuwait 06/2007-07/2008

Duties: Provided movement control support for U.S. military by utilizing SMS, Gates, and RF-ID to locate transportation information.
