Strata is a System Integrator company focused on the Energy and Utility Markets, we provide engineered solutions and technical service for our Customers.

• Manage all aspects of the business – Marketing / Sales / Engineering / Operations / and Administration, we have over 150 people and 5 facilities across the USA.

• Reconfigured the business strategically through acquisitions and organic growth, doubled the Top Line in the last 4 years – Sales revenue grew from $25.0 million to $50.0 million.

• Added two strategic businesses over the last couple years: a Power Distribution business servicing the Utility Market; and a Robotics business, which contributed $10.0 million to the top line.

SYNERGY ENERGY 2012 - 2014

The holding company for Bell Supply Company (distributor of Pipe / Valve / Fittings to the Oil and Gas Industry) and Catalyst Artificial Lift (manufacture of artificial lift components).

Chief Financial Officer – Synergy Energy / President of Catalyst Artificial Lift, Gainesville, Texas

• Accountable for all areas of finance including: strategic planning; controllership activities; financial planning; treasury; taxation; and acquisitions. Started up the Catalyst Artificial Lift business, a component machine shop located in Iona, Kanas.

• Instrumental in developing a Central Parts Warehouse, which distributed components nationally to over 40 facilities, resulting in significant inventory reductions.

VULCANIUM METALS INC. 2011 - 2012

Vulcanium is a leading distributor and processor of titanium for Aerospace, Defense, Medical Device, and other Industrial applications. Located in Chicago and Belfast, Northern Ireland, Vulcanium is serving hundreds of customers in more than 36 countries.

JOHN CRANE, A SMITHS GROUP COMPANY

A $1.2 billion market leader (mechanical seals) in the design and supply of products and services to original equipment manufacturers (OEM’s) and the aftermarket (2/3 of the business). John Crane services the oil and gas, pump and compressor manufacturing, and other process industries through 155 locations in more than 50 countries with over 6,600 employees.

Global Vice President, Finance and Procurement – John Crane, Chicago, Illinois (2008 – 2011)

Reported to the President of John Crane as the Global Chief Financial Officer. Responsible for providing leadership and direction as a key member of the senior executive staff and to the finance and procurement teams globally. Accountable for all areas of finance including: strategic planning, controllership activities, financial planning, treasury and taxation, and acquisitions. Also responsible for strategic sourcing (negotiating global agreements and monitoring performance), supply chain management, and supplier audit and risk mitigation. Selected accomplishments included:

• Drove the business strategically and from a “day-to-day” standpoint as a strong number two, increased the return on sales 4% over the last 3 years (17% to 21%).

• Managed the Upstream Energy Business during 2009 / 10 until a successor was found, established a $20 million business in Romania during this period, which was a major strategic business initiative into developing countries.

President – John Crane Americas, Chicago, Illinois (1996 – 2008)

Reported to the Group Managing Director for Smiths Specialty Engineering. Complete P&L responsibility for the business with sales revenue of $600 million, comprised of five manufacturing facilities, over 75 service centers and sales offices across the North and South Americas, employing approximately 3,000 people. Selected accomplishments included:

• Increased profitability 100% over the last 5 years.

• Instrumental in the development of an Upstream Energy Businesses (Developed strategy / Led two acquisitions / Integrated the businesses / Enhanced the Top Line), currently a $100 million business.

• Successfully led an acquisition team for the purchase of Sealol ($100 million Competitor

Chief Financial Officer – Messier-Dowty, Abingdon, England (1996 – 1997)

Reported to the CEO of Messier-Dowty, a world leader in aircraft landing gear, with five facilities across Europe and North America. Responsible for the leadership, direction and management of a $400 million business from a financial and operation standpoint.

ARJO WIGGINS APPLETON 1985 – 1995

At the time, one of the 12 largest paper companies in the world with sales revenue of $3.0 billion. Produced carbonless, coated and specialty papers as well as a leading distributor of paper in Europe.
