I am part of the Response department based in United Kingdom (England), helping to deliver the OSRL’s global response and support for Oil Spill Tier 2 & 3 response capabilities. My role in the Team as an Oil Spill Responder has provided me with opportunities to gain a wider range of experiences from hands-on spill response to delivering preparedness & response projects around the globe with timely support, smart decisions that protect people, asset & environment while reducing harm to ocean life using the booms, skimmers, floating barriers, in situ burning, GIS and chemical dispersants to break up oil slicks from the surface, I recently joined this great Team in Oct 2023. I have 5yrs experience in Emergency Management and preparedness, providing effective & immediate response capability to control and resolve all sorts of emergencies using the Incident Management System Structure. Prompt response to oil spills anywhere in the world at short notice as required by about 250 registered International Oil Organizations (IOC`S) around the world. When not responding, I take part in preparedness activities, such as delivering trainings, support clients in exercises, review of clients plans & procedures, consultancy tasks, clients engagement activities and day-to-day upkeep and maintenance of response equipment.
