MEMORANDUM
The purpose of this memo is to inform you about the On-the-Job
Training (OJT) Program offered through the Chicago Cook
Workforce Partnership and Employment and Employer Services
(E&ES). There are substantial financial benefits available to
employers who hire an eligible participant for a Regular/Direct-
Hire, Full-Time position with their company.
By taking advantage of this unique, federally-funded program,
your company will have the opportunity to provide an eligible
candidate with specific hands-on skills training to ensure their
successful employment with your company. In return, The
Partnership/E&ES will provide a partial reimbursement to offset
your internal training costs.
As an employer participating in the OJT Program:
You make the hiring decision
o You have the opportunity to train employees your way,
You determine the job performance standards.
‘You retain the right to terminate a trainee.
‘You do not need to worry about paperwork-- itis all handled promptly and efficiently by our OJT
Representatives
c a minimum 50% reimbursement of the new employee's wages to offset your internal training
agreed-upon training period (maximum of 6 months/1,040 hour).
‘We reimburse you with prompt payments.
