ABOUT ME

I am a family man who has been married for the last 30 years, I hold my family first in everything I do and such as such I would put myself in danger and want a safe place to work, I to must best of ability will ensure that every place I work is a safe place to work for everyone where I work. I always want everyone that works where I am in-charge of HSE to go back home safely. It is understood that there will be some kind of mishaps at work side but I always strife to ensure that every possible has been looked into and every preventive measure are in place. Every possible trainings given.

I have been working as a HSE practitioner since 1985 (28 years). I have been working in the construction and the Oil& Gas industry for the past 29 years. I have always been hands – on in the sense that I teach at all levels. This is my strength. I always ensure that, ultimately there has to be a balance, ensuring the work is safely conducted and the progress of work is maintained. This has to work in unison to achieve the goal of completing a project on time and safely.

I have always coached staffs and workers during my site visits that Health and Safety does not need to be compromised to achieve progress and Health and Safety. I lead by example and ensure that I am correct in all aspect of my work. I take criticism constructively and expect the same from everyone I deal with at work. I conduct work Professionally to the best of my ability.

I have work at different levels at different times of my career and have met with different people who are in a position of influence in the country; in the industry and the country whom I hold dear and still advice and work together in various capacity. These persons are my referees that I have included as my referees. Their contact numbers are found in the public domain but I will give on request.

MY ACHIEVEMENTS

I have put in place procedures that have achieved “ZERO LTI” in some of the project I have worked. This was achieved, by leading my team at the front showing strong leadership by ensuring that “Safe Work Process’ is followed and will take action when required. This was the same with staff or the contractor’s people. I ensure that proper Trainings were conducted and the relevant trained people carried out the task. Engaging the staffs and the contractors was another way that I did to ensure that work achieved “ZERO LTI”.

Adhering the Legal requirement was another way that the “ZERO LTI” was achieved.

I was appointed as the Special HSE Advisor for MRCB KL Sports City Project Construction & Upgrading Works for “Yang Berhormat Datuk Nalgunalingam the Project Director”.
