Manages the organizations logistics and transportation needs, which included TL, LTL, and small parcel transportation as well as import/export execution. This includes achieving outbound transportation savings while maintaining the company required service standards for both east coast/west coast facilities. This was accomplished by utilizing data analysis to support carrier strategies and negotiations.

Working with procurement/vendors identified cross country inbound savings to west coast and introduced load to ride carriers that improved service that resulted in a $125K inbound trans savings.

Utilized carrier network to bid out large outbound LTL shipments which reduced costs by $105K. This strategy included working with sales and building TL moves from LTL shipments

Set up same day added value carrier service for high profile west coast customer

at no additional cost that resulted in additional company revenue.

Manage inventory at both west coast and east coast outside warehouse facilities. Also coordinate TL shipping from both facilities.

Working with freight auditor to review spend & creating reports for data analysis

Brought on new export freight forwarder to enhance service and improve

information exchange and with customer service dept. Established daily standard reporting for shipment status updates and introduced quarterly reviews.

Responsible for aligning the corporate transportation network to the companys desired goals. This includes cost reduction initiatives and on-time delivery performance improvement for moving material via van, flatbed, intermodal, and LTL

Recognized cost prohibitive transportation lanes and negotiated revised rates with incumbent carriers along with introducing new carriers to said lanes. This upgrade resulted in $350K savings in 2018.

Continued to identify detrimental financial lanes in 2019, Through renegotiation and sourcing of new carriers a 1.2 million dollar savings was realized.

Cost control measures along with carrier sourcing, and newly identified savings opportunities are resulting in an additional $500k of savings in 2020

Developed on time delivery metrics. In 2018 on time delivery had risen from 90% on time delivery to 93.5%. From mid 2019 on time delivery rose to 96.5%.

Reduced inbound raw material delivery from suppliers to the Isolatek plants via pneumatic transportation, intermodal, and OTR. Since inception, mid year 2019, tracking to save $200K annually

Responsible for managing the corporate transportation network, which has a $20 million dollar transportation spend. This includes negotiating and managing the domestic LTL,TL and UPS parcel contracts. I'm Also responsible for the international air/ocean pricing & contract negotiations.

Successfully transitioned domestic transportation from an outside 3PL to an in house managed program. This included a restructuring of transportation pricing and established KPI’s. This resulted in a 13% reduction in the transportation spend and a much improved transportation service network.

Negotiated a new UPS parcel contract. This included cost saving measures such as negotiating a greater dim divisor, improved ground freight discount, and a cap on the annual rate increase.

Managed corporate RFP program focusing LTL distribution. This resulted in a 12% reduction in class rate pricing, fuel costs and accessorial charges.

Successfully negotiated steamship line contracts. This resulted in reduced ocean rates, extended free time, and improved utilization of carrier services.

Developed reliable / cost effective international cross dock program.

Created Logistics metrics that support the corporate lean culture
