Function as the single point of contact for all facility related issues for each site. This included environmental activity, waste management, janitorial, facility maintenance, utility operations, wastewater operations, paint shop cleaning, fleet management and repair, construction, appropriate capital funding, roads and grounds, security systems, and data room operations.

Lead multiple facilities operations teams located in 10 sites across the US (30 million sq feet, vehicle assembly and automotive stamping manufacturing) consisting of salaried and 3rd party employees. Scope included a total of $60M budget and over 500 total team members.

Responsible for annual project budget for projects of $13.5 million, staff of 23 engineers in 15 powertrain manufacturing locations.

Oversaw day to day facility operations in a large vehicle assembly plant running 3 crew 2 shift production schedule.

Supervised staff of 30 in day-to-day activities. Staff included, engineers, maintenance supervisors, janitorial supervisors, powerhouse staff, dispatchers, paint shop booth supervisors, paint shop technicians, chemical management, etc…

Responsible for facilities side of the data room which was critical to production. Systems of note, HVAC, emergency power including UPS system and generators

Conducted weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual equipment inspections of facility grounds, external structure, and systems, including powerhouse, wastewater treatment, roof equipment, docks, fire alarm, fire protection, etc...

Set and enforced departmental budgets, goals and deadlines. This included energy budget and upgrades / repairs necessary on powerhouse equipment to stay in compliance. Understand metering for all utilities and opportunities for consumption reductions.

Reviewed and oversaw construction and renovation projects. Including RFQ, scope documents, project schedules and coordination with plant activities, Value Engineering, Safety Reviews, Project adherence to GM standards, document open list items, sign off project.

Prepared reports and optimized weekend work schedules with accuracy.

Oversaw all aspects of equipment installation, maintenance, and repair for both internal and external services.

Followed and enforced collective bargaining agreement. Participated in labor negotiations to find ways to implement corporate strategies regarding core work / non-core work separation and minimization of total number of trades and classifications to simplify business operations.

Responsible for inventory / tasks / frequencies in Maximo (CMMS) for equipment within my responsibilities.

oIncluded all functionality and improvements to clean room for paint shop operations.

Successfully oversaw GM technical specifications for the design and build of body shop tooling for `new product program tooling. Heavy emphasis on robot cells, welding equipment and conveyors, Specializing in PLC programming, ladder logic, tag-based programming, connectivity on different network systems.

Responsible for installation of tooling meeting required deadlines.

Develop training material and organize training classes for the local skilled trades on the operation of the new equipment. One challenging situation was in Mexico with equipment built and installed by a German company.
