Germany:

(1)Axle Manufacturer in Aschaffenburg – SAF Sauer- President of Dexter Axle, myself and Herr Sauer met to coordinate the proposal of a joint venture for Dexter Axle to supply US DOD a self-steering trailer axle to transport M1A1tanks.

(1)While in German we also drove to Muchen to meet with smaller axle & brake manufactures such as Knoor and Al-Ko Kober to determine feasibility of joint venture to supply hybrid axle combinations to Dexter for US sale to our customer base.

France: met in France with team members to discuss testing and approval of Hydro-max and Mini master cylinder for use by European COE & CBE truck manufacturers and for appropriate approval by EU near Dusseldorf and Essen

Norway: met with private trailer manufacturer and we traveled to Sweden to meet with representatives of the Swedish government to gain approval of electric brakes agency in Stockholm; also met with Norwegian authorities in Oslo to discuss same issue

China: Met with taper roller bearing supplier in Quanzhou to backup Russian supplier. Audit their factory quality control and negotiate preliminary pricing for cartridge bearing package. Arrange for storage warehouse in Chicago to house potential (6) month supply for contingent emergency back-up with either supplier.

Russia: Met with Cartridge Bearing supplier in Volgograd to determine their quality system was up to providing production quantities and discussion quickly turned to pricing and deteriorated from there. Director of Purchasing was adamant about first they had to be capable and secondly the pricing had to be firm enough to establish them as a long term supplier before any pricing changes.

India: met with owner of leaf spring supplier in Chandigarh to discuss qualification testing at Dexter and at supplier to determine if fatigue life test at both places met our Weibull statistical requirements for minimum sample and minimum life for production to begin.
