- My experience as a bartender has been a life goal achievement as far as the direction I’m going. My title as a Bartender is not just for the sake of having an occupation to make money, but part of my journey to achieve what I can ex- ceed in my skills.
- I started bartending in 2019 (June) at the W Hotel where I got promoted from Barback to Bartender.
- This was an amazing opportunity for me to begin and grow as I become the Alpha of the Bar.
- One of the challenges I faced at the W Hotel was seniority.
- I only had 3 days on my schedule which were the slowest days of the week- Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
- Eventually I did pick up a few shifts here and there but I needed to find a way to make more money.
- Thats when I applied at Bottega Louie in April 2020.
- COVID 19 made me pause my employment as a Barback for almost a year.
- I resumed my passionate position as a Bartender on April 2020 at Bottega Louie ever since.
- Bottega Louie’s legacy is known for their Patisserie such as their cakes and macaroons.
- I have learn so much as a Bartender at Bottega Louie, from classic Italian amaros to exclusive Italian red/white wines along with cocktails.
- A new journey has begun when I decided to move forward from Bottega Louie to Chef Evan Funke's restaurant Funke
- FUNKE'S food concept and bar program has given me the opportunity to ex- ceed my skills as a bartender and challenge my experience as a mixologist/ worker
- Nothing can be further from the truth if I don’t mention that being a part of this company has elevated me to learn more of the italian culture and stan- dards of the art that is applied.
Barback 2 years of experience
- My experience as a Barback goes back to 2017. Working as a FoodRunner earlier that year, I wasn’t satisfied with the money I was making from Delphine. Rather than looking for another job I was offered 2 days as a Bar back for the W hotel. In less than a month, I completed shifted position from Food Runner to Barback.
- Fast foward to April 28, 2021, I was hired at Bottega Louie as a back server. I intended to apply for Barback at the time but that position was not available based on the capacity of employees of that position. One months later, a spot opened for Barback and I was offered to switch position to Barback.
- My duties insist of making sure the Bar was completely set up for day and making sure the bartender got the assist he/she needed in critical moments. This helps maintain the flow of work to become smooth and most importantly, keep our customer service very efficient.
Food Runner 2 years experience
- I started as a food runner in 2016. Transitioning from busser to runner, I expe- rienced a different way of working in the restaurant industry. Details of the food and the way its presented plays a huge role to a food runner. At the the time, I was getting hours and availability that was very convenient for me. Experience

• Craft Bottega Louie’s house cocktails.
• Present all Beer selection as well as all Red, White, Chardonnay, Champagne, and Rose wine the restaurant has in stock to the customers
• Have knowledge of classic cocktails that are most requested off the cocktail menu

Amazon (Juno Logistics)- Hawthorne, CA (2020)(May through November)
• Prior to arriving to the parking structure where all the Amazon vans are located, every driver is given a route number through our phones
• Upon arrival, we receive a pouch bag from our dispatch containing the number that was given to us through our phone and that’s how every driver identifies which van they are driving that day
• The pouch bags contains the van keys, work phone (Rabbit), and phone charger
• When its time to depart from the parking structure, every drivers drives off to the facility where we load our packages
• Upon arrival to the facility, we line the van to the section assign to us
• Once we get to our section, we get off the van and find our carts full of pack- ages and bags and load them to our van
• Once we are loaded up with our packages, we drive to our first destination Bartender
