I have worked in many area in Information Technology and while there developed and delivered my popular “Eliminating Stress” seminar.
Having consulted and taught interationally (Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, Mexico, South Korea, US, Viet Nam) is evidence for my appreciation for and understanding of diverse cultures and outlooks on life.
My qualifications as an instructor is evidenced by having worked exclusively as an instructor for Tandem Computers for 7+ yeas and having practiced and taught karate for 58 years.
I am scheduled to be a featured speaker at the WYN Conference “Global Women Power Summit and Expo 2024” in Paris this March.
As a published author, my works in the field of mental health include “Discovery Mode – Advancing Mind and Spirit”, “Shooting Arrows at the Moon”, and “You Don’t Have to Manage Stress, Anxiety, Bipolar, Anger, Depression, and Other Stuff if You’re NOT producing it!”
I stay current with advancements in the field of psychology and have a particular interest in the field known as Three Principles.

Experience:
Consultant/Instructor - C. H. U. Los Gatos, CA – 1988 to 2013
Provided technical consulting in the areas of performance tuning and capacity planning for customers of Tandem Computers. Customers included the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong, Korean Stock Market, BanaMex, JPMorgan Chase, Exxon-Mobil, US West Teleservices, ANZ Bank, AG Edwards, Bank One, Huntington Bank and many others. Some banks ran Base24 applications. My consulting enabled customers systems to perform their work with greater efficiency and reduced cost.
Worked with quarterly performance testing teams, DBA’s, programmers, etc. to identify and correct performance problems in the quarterly software releases. Developed and implemented a capacity model for the NonStop authorization system running TSYS’ authorization software which was used to plan new hardware acquisition.
Designed and developed “Precision Partition” a suite of TAL, TACL, and Visual Basic tools that enabled selection of partitioning keys for ENSCRIBE files and alternate key files, and NonStop SQL tables and indexes for high performance.
Provided Three Principles Psychology based consulting and training to mental health professionals in the San Francisco Bay area and other locations in the U.S. This education enabled mental health professionals to be more effective in their work with their clients while experiencing significantly less stress on the job.

Day to day management and documentation of 20 HPE NonStop financial transaction processing systems. Participate off hours on-call rotation support.
Senior Technical Analyst, Total Systems Services, Columbus, GA - 2015 to 2018
Provided performance analysis/tuning and capacity planning services for systems, pathways, and databases for the production systems in both the US and UK. This effort raised the company’s ability to provide credit/debit card authorizations at a much higher level of service, for Visa and other vendors.

Courses included Tandem Performance Management, Tandem Capacity Management, Tandem Systems Management, Pathway Internals, TMF Internals, Enform Programming, TACL Programming, Intro to NonStop SQL. Delivered these courses to students of diverse cultural backgrounds including Hong Kong, Korea, Canada, and the US.
Provided internal organizational development training to select organizations (i.e. Legal Department, Hardware R and D, Software Development) as well as general seminars for employees of Tandem Computers and their families. This work enabled once struggling teams to meet or exceed their goals for product deliverables while experiencing a dramatically more positive work environment.

Provided instruction in Matsubayashi-Ryu Karate to adults at Intel Computers, Tandem Computers at my karate school.
