Senior Software Engineer

Led the Liberty RMIS production team, which runs, maintains, and delivers over 15,000 reports and data extracts each year to both customers and internal stakeholders utilizing SAS, Microstrategy, and Hyperion programs.

•Provided support as a Statistical Analysis System (SAS) captain ensuring a secure and stable environment for development and production processing for over 100 programs and scripts.

•Supported and maintained SFTP deliveries via an application allowing for updates to customer delivery specifications.

•Developed and supported Hyperion programs in our Data Extract Utility to efficiently process 148 scheduled data extracts.

•Collaborated with fellow engineers, business analysts, account executives, brokers, TPAs, and external customers daily to understand and implement custom reporting needs.

•Trained and supported other engineers to ensure consistent processes and high-quality results across entire team.

IMPACTFUL PROJECTS

•Leveraged SQL and MS Visual Basic macros to create customer specific reports for a large account, saving the Legal department about 100 hours per year.

•Led the successful migration of key reports from one BI tool, Hyperion, to a new MicroStrategy environment.

•Designed the setup of a new production reporting environment for SalesForce, allowing for flexible business reporting and daily run tracking capabilities.

•Consulted with an external team to establish an automated process to run SAS scripts and deliver files via SLIM/SFTP, saving the reporting team about 300 hours per month.
