also have monitored the log status and run Informix 4-GL jobs, and SQL queries. In addition, I have written scripts to

monitor jobs and logs and send e-mail or pager alerts when a possible problem was detected. I tried to troubleshoot and if

possible correct a problem before escalating the situation to the responsible application or database group.

For VERITAS, (2000-2002),I wrote technote 235634 telling how to get and install HP-UX patches via SAM or swinstall from the command line and also Solaris patches via patchadd or admintool.. Also Modified the EMCGRAB script to automatically uuencode and mail output to designated parties. I have trained colleagues 1-on-1 and in group settings.
