Major Tool and Machine

Weld Shop Team Leader 2016-2023

● Lead multiple welding departments. Oversaw the manufacturing of components. Organized the department for good material flow and purchased department supplies.

● Monitored compliance of all Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions. Inspected parts for compliance during the entire process. Wrote non-conformances and initiated dispositions. Enforced safety procedures and safety inspection process.

● Challenged team members to work efficiently. Reviewed efficiency and quality issues with the team. Encouraged team unity and team building through daily communication. Planned team meetings and shared company communications.

● Trained and supported Process Engineers and Engineers in Training. Involved them in planning and encouraged career development.

Process Engineer 2004-2016

● Worked on several Customer Focused Engineering Teams that serviced AeroSpace, Defense, Oil and Gas, Nuclear, National Labs, and Power Generation Markets.

● Review RFQ and quote to customer drawings, specifications, and models. Review PO, drawings and specifications for a match of RFQ documents.

● Verify material and sublet pricing validity.

● Organize Pre-release meetings with all departments and appropriate technical personnel to familiarize them with PO requirements. Layout steps, instructions, material and sublet in software used for manufacturing.

● Inform Production Control to review the delivery date.

● Complete risk management to determine the quality plan. Design fixturing and make process drawings.

● Communicate and document questions with manufacturing and customers.

● Review work order status, efficiency, delivery daily and oversee processes. Review and disposition non-conformances. Various Other Positions 1983-2004

● Welder and Team Leader in several different Welding Departments, Tool Crib and Gate Way work center.

● Designed the first revision of Major Tool and Machine's welding training program which identified over 70 welders skills, required training, and classified welders’ level and monetary compensation. Adopted later in all departments.

● Engineering Training Program and temporary Process Engineer several times.

● Quality Assurance Dimensional Inspector, Level II Visual Testing and Penetrant Testing

● QA Inspector performing final buy offs with customer Source and DOE Inspectors on Defence and AeroSpace hardware.

● Material and sublet expeditor.
