Software is an application in the Planning Solution that provides complete planning capabilities for the retail merchandising process. Bealls uses Merchandise Allocation to compute the optimum quantity of certain groups of products to ship from their Distribution centers to their individual stores. The goal is to get the right products to their stores at the right time. Also, Bealls uses this system to allocate goods that have been ordered or have already been received in their DC. This allowed Bealls to optimize allocations for each product at the store-size level to ensure that store-level inventory meets customer demand.

Traffic Cop creates allocation definition files (.ain) that provide SKU, quantity, and product attributes on which to allocate. The file format for both import (WMS to SAS) and export (Released Allocation – extract SAS to WMS) files are in a pipe-delimitated format.
