Leadership position responsible for managing the material planning, material flow, material usage, inventory controls, capacity planning, and purchasing of all food, beverage and equipment products for the DCA CSC operation serving in excess of 2200 meals per day with approximately 12 million in revenues, 80 hourly and salaried employees. Manage all aspects of inventory management to ensure financial and customer requirements are met on a monthly basis. Control Food Cost Variances and continually compare actual to billed costs to identify and reduce variances. Determine par levels and order quantities based on airline specifications, menus and vendor lead time. Maintain proper inventory, ordering, receiving, storage and requisition processes in compliance with company, customer, and regulatory agency standards. Perform other duties to support the operation of the CSC to include but limited to: Ramp Safety Process Owner, CSC Safety Process Owner, Key Accounts Manager, financial management of VIP charter business, and On-site GQS facilitator.

Manager of Operations

Leadership position responsible for all aspects of the DCA CSC operation serving in excess of 2200 meals per day with approximately 19 million in revenues, 150 hourly and salaried employees, a fleet of 20 vehicles, and servicing eight international and domestic customers. Responsible for the daily operation of the Food, Equipment & Sanitation, Assembly, Equipment Storage, and Customer Service departments in a 24 hours a day operation. Develop and consistently foster excellence in all facets of customer service. Responsible for developing the potential amongst team members while championing all company initiatives, processes, policies, and procedures. Effectively lead the team to high performance in financial, employee, and customer goals through the utilization of corporate programs and initiatives to include: Lean Manufacturing, HACCP, F2F, CARE, IFBL, etc. Strategically plan, organize, manage and analyze the facility’s operations to insure financial, customer and employee targets are met. Manager unit costs to budget through effective manpower planning, scheduling and overtime usage. Assist with the preparation and development of the unit’s operation budget to met corporate goals. Provide leadership to the CSC and its employees though presence, communication and modeling appropriate leadership behaviors. Mentor, train, manage and develop all employees, including other managers and supervisors to achieve Key Results Areas as well as individual potential. Train and develop supervisors on job skills, leadership, best practices and Company Vision Goals through coaching and role modeling. Participates in feasibility studies, product evaluation and market analysis for the introduction of alternative business ventures into the Washington Market in collaboration with the Corporate Sales and Marketing Group. .Maintain an ongoing, positive, and proactive relationship with all customers both internal and external. Responsible for coordinating and negotiating outside contractor support for vehicle and facility maintenance and repairs. Service as the Point of Contact for all Head of State and Diplomatic charters into the Washington DC area for the facility. This entails the coordination of all catering activities and logistic for the off-loading and loading charter requirements at Andrews Air Force Base. Lean Manufacturing (Continuous Improvement) Manager

Serve as the major lead for the Lean Manufacturing Initiative for the market. Responsible for developing and analyzing productivity trends and create plans to maximize manpower utilization, eliminate waste and improve overall flow and productivity in the facility. Serve as the Lean Manufacturing trainer. Develop training material and classroom presentations. Facilitate daily Leadership Workgroup Meeting to discuss barriers and develop solutions for process improvements. Maintain productivity records, charts and Pareto analysis to measure productivity gains.

Operations Manager

Operations Manager for a $32 million dollar airline catering and service operation. Responsible for providing leadership and direction for various departments consisting of 5 Supervisors, 5 Administrative Clerks and 58 Flight Assembly Associates. Acts as a liaison between the facility and the customer’s local representatives. Ensure compliance with all FDA, local Health Department and FAA regulations. Responsible for labor accountability, on-time performance, Total Cycle Time (TCT), CARE safety programs, and all other corporate programs and initiatives.
