I was able to think outside the box to redesign existing props and architecture in Disney and CA Adventure. Creating a new CAD library.

Creating concept drawings in CAD with dimensions and exploded views to show in reverse the engineering of a design.

I set up my CAD station and plotter along with all the necessary files needed to complete my task.

Some of the things I worked on there were:

Designed partial back drops for the redesign of Pirates of the Caribbean. Jungle Cruise, Main Street store fronts, Columbia, projects Back Stage like relocating breakrooms and many others.

I worked with Kimberly Irvine {Head Architect in Disneyland} to design temporary castle front.

Due to Corona Virus everything got shut down and, unfortunately in a cost saving effort I was let go.

CAD Operator for Murray Mechanical Contractors, located in Rancho Dominguez Ca.

2007 to 12/2/2017 I worked alongside Design Engineers while directly working with the vice president of engineering, learning plumbing and mechanical installations. Being one of two Cad Operators I was responsible for producing most of the dwg’s coming out of the Engineering Dept. It was not unusual to work on 4 different projects at the same time.

I started with the company being the 99th employee hired and watched it grow to over 1000. Due to the quality of work and efficiency we produced It was not necessary to add new CAD Operators in engineering.

Some of my duties were to:

Design piping for plumbing systems on the floor plans using layers which include water, waste, storm, natural gas and med gas systems.

Create riser diagrams from those plans.

Create schedule sheets.

Fixing backgrounds and setting up project files, which involved using layers and xfer’s.

Annotate floor plans with callouts.

Create details.

Working with Microsoft Office and Bluebeam

Working with tiff and pdf files.
